Anandtech did a nice cover up job with an article for the throttling on iPhone 12 series.

Second this is not MKBHD.
Third according to him it's the Note 20 Ultra that has the most balanced and best photo & video recording overall.
He just misinterpreted the video thinking iPhone has the best photo quality. It's decent. Maybe he missed something (the HDR mode) in the Mate 40 Pro, but this phone already lacks OIS out of the box.
