Just a waste money same like making fold or mate x.
They cost a lot and noone wants to buy because of zero durability.
Good
..., 21 Nov 2020not sure if LG is just crazy or desperate to stay relevant. I doubt any of their attempts will... moreThats called innovation! Don't judge lg based on their tanking mobile phones division, they are very strong in home electronics department only second to Samsung.
Anonymous, 21 Nov 2020LG has a "Rolly" keyboard so incorporating that design the keys will stay safe. I do... moreYou know what would work, is if the base is basically a tablet and the rolling display is a secondary display which when rolled up, the tablet portion becomes the keyboard and touchpad much like the Lenovo Yoga Book.
Was a gimmick in the Lenovo's case but it's been a while and haptic feedback has come a long way since.
I share some of the skepticism on this. However we need some kind of innovation badly.
At least there is a clear lack of future paths of non-VR/AR consumer tech!
..., 21 Nov 2020not sure if LG is just crazy or desperate to stay relevant. I doubt any of their attempts will... moreWell they do have the budget from the sales of lg gram and they are trying to make a small compact thing that changes into a big thing. I mean these are baby steps, like with foldables that in reality aren't that much of a necessity, but just a novelty.

I don't know what will they do with the touch pad. Battery is the main question. Will they have that thin bendable battery or are they gonna use some other battery type I really don't know.
not sure if LG is just crazy or desperate to stay relevant. I doubt any of their attempts will result in a product adopted by the masses. Better they just make a decent flagship like they did almost a decade ago with LG G2.
Make the display transparent. That will sure looks fantastic.
On the other hand, congrats for GSMArena team for fixing the image viewing on Android app

The chiclet-style keyboard is delicate as it is, so it's better off protected by a lid. Doesn't make sense to make a rolling display if the battery, chipset and battery don't also roll along with it.
so lg is not done yet?
rooting for lg rollables...
real innovator...
I want a 6.5 inch phone to be rollable into 10 inch tablet and 19 inch laptop screen, all in 1 device. That's the dream.
It's very easy
Like car door auto glass window
looks like lg on a roll, hahahahahahahah
I wonder how is this even possible. For TV, that's not a problem because it's not going anywhere and just remain static. But for a laptop? Hmmm... sounds intriguing.
