Second, I ALWAYS read the T&Cs of the apps I install. If they collect way too much data, I don't use them. Simple as that
Of course they can. knowing amazon they'll be tracking everything else as well, especially your position as amazon is turning into advertising business.

No one was concerned before that so why the change now . If the government or police suspect something they can request a log book from your phone network. You don't think that your IsP can see what sites you're visting. Everyone's concern about their data but does anyone read the T&C's of when installing or signing up to something. I remember my forensic lecturer telling me in one program he signed up for it said in the T&C's that they legally own your data and they can do anything with it
