First I paid for the Windows license. Windows is never preinstalled in any laptop. There are even pirated versions of Windows.
The laptop costs more than $600 in my country. We are not talking about price to performance ratio. The laptop only offers a FHD screen with low screen brightness. It does not support the DCI-P3 or sRGB color space fully. i5 is a mid-range processor. A Macbook Air running on i5-8210Y (dual-core downclocked CPU), despite easily throttled, still has better performance than a regular CPU (i5-6200U), not downclocked. Both are using 14nm node.
MacOS destroys Windows OS except for gaming. MacOS Big Sur looks clean and refined.
This is not an iPhone with many shortcomings. Just bearing Apple logo doesn't mean it is an inferior product. Even Huawei and Xiaomi are trying to cheat from Apple but uses a different CPU

Window is the first choice of OS on PC platform, nobody cares about alien Mac OS.

That's why I'm sticking with Windows with a lot of the questionable hardware decisions by HP or Dell or Asus. MacOS is the one that is unable to perform lots of things, not Windows. And no, brands like razer or alienware which actually makes good Windows laptops are not available in my country. Even the XPS isn't.

2. You're comparing a laptop which costs at most $600 when it released 5 years ago to a $1000 from 2020. Obviously, the $1000 will be much faster.

Apple is a service based company, and not... moreunfortunately people will believe the Apple marketing more than actual technology sites. a lot still don't realize that the so called thunderbolt port is literally a USB-C port. But at the same time, one can't help but be impressed at the marketing Apple does to make a lot of consumers believe in it.

Antutu said that the a14 has lower clock speed, that has been proven false too.
Not only can't they compare to androids, they now also can't compare each generation of iPhone.
No matter if iPhones score higher than androids it antutu, it ultimately does not matter cause antutu is still inaccurate either way.

Windows is not free. Then there is that McAfee bloatware. Laptop crashes and freezes often, even if there are no suspicious apps running. Windows Edge is cr*p. We're talking about a midrange laptop, not a low-end running on Pentium processor.
MacOS is the OS of choice except for gamers, with great optimisation and clean UI. Security is not better than Windows, however.

Now you're saying that benchmarks are only for bragging rights.

Snapdragon 875 will kill iPhone 12 Haha try again.
In Speed Test G iPhone 12 wipes the competition clean with 63 seconds. Even with thermal throttling (which has been debunked by Gary Explains), iPhone 12 finishes the test in 68 seconds. iPhone 11 Pro Max did a lot worse with too much throttling (15%) in the same test.
Snapdragon 875 may only beat iPhone 12 if we're talking about gaming phones like ROG Phone 4 with dedicated performance mode.
Apple M1 processor has done extremely well in video editing suites. Ignore Geekbench as it's biased.
