Maybe because HMD Nokia want to get the supply for Snapdragon 875 chipset. But still, I'm worried about one delay after another. The hype factor won't be alive anymore if HMD Nokia keep doing this.
What is HMD creating? Smartphone or Rocket?!
They couldn't get 1 flagship deliver in 1 year, then how are they going to compete with Apple and Samsung, let alone OnePlus or other Chinese brands.
Even if it was launched with the 875, it wouldn't be showstopper for sure. Their main highlight would be the cameras. Especially the stills and portrait photography.
The only reason the Nokia 9 launching with the previous year's chipset was a problem was really because the hardware couldn't even keep up with its main selling point. At this point the differences in real world use between most modern flagship chipsets are indiscernible anyway so I'm not sure what the general obsession over having the latest chipset is, it'll still handle everything you throw at it
Hahaha, is anyone out there suprisef? Anyway the 9 is beyond my budget, is there any word on the 6.3? Because I am starting to think that I should consider other options, besides will there still be any suport ( updates ) for Nokia phones when the company folds?
Hmm, interesting but totally ok. The global environment is challenging in 2020 anyway and makes sense for the new chip as well as any new character inaugurations.
😂😂already told , they never had one.
As long as they keep their specs (especially SoC/RAM/Storage) up to date, I won't mind waiting. Just no more flawed penta-camera monstrosity like the OG Nokia 9, thanks.
Okay. My nostalgia has ran out of patience. I waited for at least 10 months for this thing. Sorry, With a dying SD820 phone, I am done with the waiting. Moving on to another brand. See you in 3 years, if they still make phones then.
Devil , 27 Nov 2020Another fail from Nokia, what's happening with this brand? Nothing, because nokia has zero to do with this.
It is all HMD (most phones, few are FIH design).
Nokia have good build quality and I'm happy to pay some premium for that/timely updates/the security of a European rather than Chinese brand - but they keep offering reasons for me not to.
Nokia/HMD are just a disaster this year!
They are playing catch up to all other manufacturers and when they do finally release a phone it fails to impress with specs and features offered by others for less money.
Also they are still releasing phones with Android 10 on when Android 11 is now out. They claim to offer two Android updates, but really people are only getting one update as the phones should already be Android 11.
Whats going inside the company? Again and again delay...
of course this is very good news and not bad at all, finally we will see a flagship Nokia phone that can really compite with the other big boys
I hope that by the end of the year they will release at least their midrangers 6.3 and 7.3 5G, which I want to come with Snapdragon 690 and 750G respectively, nice cameras, good battery and prices between 300-500 EUR.
As for the flagship, well too many delays is definitely an issue, the pandemic is making it worse for sure, plus if it comes with S865 processor in 2021 when the S875 will be out, that will turn many potential customers away, especially those who want the latest and greatest in terms of perfomance.
I guess they will give the way to C1 plus
If this is true, the 9.3 will be launched as 9.4 instead
Hey, as long as it's not trash upon release, I'm alright with it. Nokia keeps releasing trash and that needs to change.
