To be honest how many years is possible to get the same product "Cortex-A55" ???
In my opinion it doesn't make sense to throw away another ground for nothing, I will waiting for ARM_V9.
Good luck

The SD 7xx series don't do well because they're not as powerful as their 8xx cousins, but still much more expensive than the entry-level 6xx chips. People who want a powerful phone on a discounted price just need to buy a flagship phone that was released 6 to 12 months ago.

Also, entry-level 6xx chips face intense competition from Mediatek.

Therefore the 7xx chips are like the illegitimate stepchild nobody wants.

If it's called the 777 (or 777G) and has similar performance to an 865/865+ then I might just get a phone with one of those. Triple sevens make 10x more sense than triple eights, so idk why they would still end up calling the 700 series chip a 775G when they've got an 888.

I want to see tests with this chip on emulators already! My SD720G is already good for Dolphin and Citra but a few games don't run at max fps and the upcoming switch emulation will probably require a better SD. If 775G will handle everything then flagship phones are not even needed for me and to be honest I don't like how flagship phone miss all the extra features like sd card so that's even better

In fact, if someone has one of these devices, go to the video recording screen and do this; At 4K @ 60 FPS, let it activate HDR10 +.

I think this would help in developing a more suitable and long-lasting solution to the waste management of tech, especially in mobile devices.

Shadocx, 29 Nov 2020Even if the cores are clocked at 1 Ghz or lower clock? We would have to wait for the 875 that comes with X1 to be launched at a speed of 2.84GHz to see its consumption but it would still be an excessive amount of heat to have eight X1 cores which would generate a large consumption due to the temperature and cooling would also be needed excessive.

That is why the X1 cores (until recently A-78) are only used to launch the app due to the large amount of consumption and heat they produce, after the app is launched the medium and small cores are used to maintain it

Anonymous, 27 Nov 2020Snapdragon 775G is flagship fast because mediatek dimensity 1000 cost same as 765G and perform... moreIt could even be assumed that some high-end pixels will use it since it has a score similar to 855+ or 865, it will have support for 120Hz, it will be able to use up to 12Gb of Ram of LPDDR5 and up to 256Gb of UFS 3.1, it will have adreno 660, 40% more CPU, 50% GPU and it will have a lower consumption since it will be 6nm.

So I see a much better option to equip them with 775 that is strong enough to move any app, game or whatever you want and would decrease the unnecessary price.
