It will be better if they will stop developing and drop the flash on all the platforms and on all the internet, and begin with the HTML5. Flash it's really awful, it slow the browsers, if you got a old pc the browser crash, etc. HTML5 is better than flash.
The Adobe Flashplayer isn't removed from Google play & it still installable
Sure flash isn't perfect (can be clunky and slow) but there will be sites for years to come that still use flash.
Jonibang, 15 Aug 2012so how can we play youtube/other tube video sites without flash?android chrome already sucked ... moreWhy would u want to play youtube videos on the youtube site when android youtube app its perfect to watch youtube videos?

so how can we play youtube/other tube video sites without flash?android chrome already sucked in this departement..
TC, 15 Aug 2012On Gingerbread every Android could easily play Adobe Flash, and with faster cpu and more ram ... moreYou don't have a clue about html5 capabilities...
A world without flash, will be a better and more open.
*** NOTE: FLASH PLAYER IS NO LONGER BEING UPDATED FOR NEW DEVICE CONFIGURATIONS. FLASH PLAYER WILL NOT BE SUPPORTED ON ANY ANDROID VERSION BEYOND ANDROID 4.0.x ***
While Flash Player remains on Google Play for installation on Android devices that are certified by the manufacturer, installing Flash Player on an uncertified device may result in unexpected behavior and can potentially destabilize your device. A list of certified devices can be found at http://www.adobe.com/go/certifieddevices. Flash Player WILL NOT be supported on any device shipped with or upgraded to an Android version beyond Android 4.0.x
bs..it will take ages until all web content is migrated to html5 (which is even not working fine on all browsers). Flash will return back soon ;)
One plugin for all was actually better than every computer or phone os, and every different webbrowser..., implement their own versions of different versions/developments of html5!
HTML5 can not handle everything Adobe Flash can handle, and I think html5 never will be able to handle everything Adobe Flash can handle today! HTML5 is actually so bad that it can not compete with Adobe Flash, and that is the worst reason for removing Adobe Flash, kill the better competitor, because if html5 was so good as everyone say it is, then every webpage... would already today use it!
i remember, long time before Steve Jobs explained the Reasons of why Flash player not included in IPHONES, and he told, the world without flash player. now happened. STEVE JOBS, there is no word to explain his thoughts.....
On Gingerbread every Android could easily play Adobe Flash, and with faster cpu and more ram every new Android could easily play Adobe Flash even on ICS, so it is totally stupid to remove Adobe Flash today when every Android easily can play flash, even though Google tried to kill the performance of Adobe Flash on ICS and not make it possible to use at all in Chrome and removes built in support from Jelly Bean! HTML5 is far worse than Adobe Flash, try to play online games using html5 and try streaming full HD movies in fullscreen using html5! HTML5 is simply not ready yet to replace Adobe Flash, so Adobe should have waited another year or two before removing it, and even then they should leave it in Google Play together with a note that it is free to download but Adobe will not update it anymore! Adobe Flash is one of the most installed of all apps in Google Play, and removing it only makes more open their eyes to other ways than Google Play to find and install apps and games!
Well I guess the time has come for me to explore other mobile platforms.
"stability, user experience and battery life"
I thought it was more "locking out the primary delivery mechanism of free games that would undermine our app store business model".
Ultimately inevitable, and I'm no great fan of Flash, but still a bit of a shame. Note that their "no new updates" policy should be overridden by any security holes found - which there are bound to be.
HTML5 may u live a short life cause Flash is much better than you, and was only killed by stupid Apple.
Btw, flash will continue to be supported on desktops cause HTML5 is buggy, and android chrome did not support flash cause it came out too late after adobe announcement so gsmarena get ur facts straight
on a motodefy 800mhz cpu flash worked flawless, even better than on pc but what the hell is this move to retreat it,i dont understand
Its sad to see flash faded away . The era of flash has ended the time for HTML 5 has come ... Good bye flash .... we would miss you
