What's the point of having 26TOPS, if more than 50% of your chip will be dark silicon. It's not a NN chip. TOPS doesn't equate to performance.

There was no mention of dual SIM 5G so that might be closer to no (which would be embarrassing considering Kirin and MediaTek beat Qualcomm on this).
As for RAM, largest available is 16GB at LPDDR5 so my guess is that will be the max until Samsung comes out with a crazy 32GB version for no reason. Lol.

865 to 888?Given the status of 8 as a lucky number in China it might be with an eye on that market?
Either way, I'm excited to see just how well phones with this chip wind up testing. The focus on GPU power seems smart to me, that's the biggest area for a flagship chip to really stick out at this point as the 700-series chips can handle regular use for an upgrade cycle at least.

jamalu96, 01 Dec 2020So Qualcomm is focusing on AI. 26 Tops!!! It is double than the Bionic chip.At the end of the day, Qualcomm is the SOC of choice on smartphones. Bionic is begging for mercy right now. ROG 3 already beat it in real world speed test.

Snapdragon 720/730 is on the lower end of mid-range CPUs.
