                    I've added a paragraph to clarify that there's a possibility of the G-phone using the 865 instead (after all the rumors of a Snapdragon 870, it never appeared).

                      The never said it was the 888, they said the 800 family of processors to moto G, this for me sounds like the 865 "flagship" they're planning for 2021 instead, makes more sense

                                  Failure.

                                  Phones with 8xx inside midrange bodies are not popular.
                                  Only geeks buy.
                                  So, if they insert 888 inside moto g9+, they're just wasting money.
