Good stand!! Other sellers and carriers also decline Apple product. Apple is using monopoly and misguiding people. They are not including chargers for more money, not for envirinment. If it was for environment, then why they are releasing unnecessary accessories like Magsafe charger, card holder and othr iCraps??
No to monopoly, yes to consumer rights!! Apple should step back!!!

Yes i think apple must supply adapters. They know previous iphone users dont have a USB-C adapter and will be forced to purchase one. This is a sneaky game apple is playing and consumers rights should be protected againt such acts. And its not the first time time they do such a thing, when macbooks came out with USB-C, consumers who owned an iphone had to purchase a USB-C cable to connect to the mac. I think apple is really cheating their customers and using the environmental impact excuse.

"Capez makes a valid point, if Apple’s move was really intended to reduce carbon emissions, it should implement a recycling program for customers to turn in old chargers. Perhaps such a program would offer a new fast-charger for free, or at a discount in exchange for an old adapter. This would help to discourage consumers from throwing chargers away and maybe save some of those “precious materials” Apple was talking about."

Finally, some proper common sense. Definitely applaud the agency for fighting against capitalism.

Apple is a prestige product not an user-oriented one. So, no matter if they include the charger or not. In fact people will keep buying it, even if someday company says, it will ship it in parts and the user will have to assamble it their own. When you are fan of something than logic takes back seat.

The most logical thing is to offer a coupon for a free charger when purchasing the phone. It could be a charger in a plain box specifically for the coupon, or something that individual resellers accept for retail chargers and receive a rebate from Apple.

Apple removed the charger from the box for the sake of memes. apple wants to be talked about. apple wants to be mentioned in the news. apple wants to be in the center of attention, no matter what. so that people keep buying their products. get fined in different countries will not change Apple's behavior because that makes a lot of money from the attention they receive

Apple should implement a trade-in program for old chargers and give a rebate/discount when buying new chargers to reduce/recycle waste

So Apple is trying to reduce carbon emission by not giving chargers instead giving USB C cable only and their older charger use USB A port so assuming you are upgrading from old iPhone the new cable will be useless as it won't fit in your old charger and if you are switching from android and have a charger with USB C port and your battery gets damaged somehow Apple won't honor warranty so in the end buy the new charger or throw away your warranty

If they included USB-A to Lightning I'd sort of excuse them, but how many people realistically have USB-C charger at home? Almost no one. Also this whole "e-waste" excuse is such stupid nonsense. It's not e-waste if it's in use. Every phone I had I still have their charger if I didn't sell the phone and if I did, I made sure it was sold together with the phone. So, where is this e-waste part?! Do people just throw away fully functional chargers or something?
