No way would Qualcomm stop making the SD855 if somebody was still willing to pay for it.

Plus, not everybody needs 5G in the midrange.
Should have made a moto X5. We need the Moto X to return. I still use the Moto X4 and I love it.

Also, anyone can push any chipset to its limits easily so we still didn't hit the ceiling of what mobile chipsets can do. 865 is good enough, but that doesn't mean the 888 isn't 20% faster and better, and if things keep going the way they are, the 865 may become obsolete much faster than expected.
My question is what will the price be on this? If it's $350-400 it would be a great deal. Especially competing with the Google pixel 4a at $350.

In just a few years, we will have four camera on the front and then the phones will resemble the old paper files with punch holes.
There were times when manufactures tried to hide the punch hole with hideous wallpapers but now everyone started boasting it proudly.
Hope is going to be priced at 500EUR/600USD at most, especially in the markets where Xiaomi is present. To me, phone looks like Mi 10T competitor, but until more specs leak, we really cannot know.

All the need is a good optimization and well build software attached to android 11.

Especially, if the Desktop 🖥 software they are including is useful then Moto will sell this phone like hot 🔥 cakes
So...it's the Moto One 5G but with a better processor, better main and ultrawide cameras, no macros, and what MIGHT be OLED.
If priced at $700 or below, it will do well. Since I live in the US, I'm still awaiting that for the price despite the mmWave.

This phone better cost $499 on launch or its going to fail.
I just hope the price won't be too much after all they're using an older processor

This chipset will be capable for at least 4-5 years. It is a phone in the end, not some high-end server. All this spec-wars became pretty obsolete now, when majority of people don't use even half of the power of current chipset.
Idk if it's just the wallpaper, but it appears to be that the light bleed is so severe on this one.

If the price ... moreAvailability and Connectivity are the main reasons why manufacturers don´t use older flagship SoCs, one of the only phones using a Snapdragon 855+ released in 2020 is the Realme X3 Superzoom, if e.g. OnePlus would´ve used a Snapdragon 855+ in their Nord, they wouldve killed the selling point of the 7T and missed out on the big numbers and ads that is 5G at the moment.
Well it's certainly plenty powerful and if the price is right it's a winner. I don't buy flagship phones anymore as the prices have gotten too high and Moto makes great budget points. This is still a very good chip and the price will likely be higher.

I am pretty sure that this Motorola phone will cost 500-700EUR. And in that price range they already have competition (One Plus 8, Samsung S20 FE). Not to mention some Xiaomi and Realme models, which can be bought at even lower prices.
So, Motorola should come with something better than just specs, if they want to attract people in buying it.
