In the Philippines it sold out, via online channels like lazada and shopee. Even the X3 NFC is always sold out. Xiaomi is always number one when it comes to monthly sales 11.11.20 etc. They may not have physical stores like Oppo, Vivo and Realme. What they do have is a massive following, great products at cheap price.

so it's not so relevant if it will be slow in 5y
it's more about how it performs today for me its a perfect first phone for my 7y old

The Lazada 12.12 pricepoint has pretty good one at around 6,950Php for 4/128GB UFS 2.2 variant.

The way they still give you what it has is a pretty good deal for its price point and if you're not satisfied enough, you can just go up the price tier and buy an X3.

Can't imagine how they are recommending 700$ Pixel 5 over flagships with Snapdragon 865 which will easily perform smoothly till year 2025.
The Snapdragon 765 will start to show its age ineyear 2023.

I'm waiting for the 12.12 promos for this phone, it's cheap and nice gift to elders this holiday. I've already search for good device with a cheap price. No other brands can beat the SD662, 6k mah battery and UFS 2.1 storage for the price, even against not so heard china brands like infinix, techno, etc.

The Redmi Note 9S is about 10-20 more and brings a better 1080p screen, much better cameras, much better SoC Snap 720G, better quality of construction etc
Poco putting a 1080p screen was wrong, it makes the phone lag a lot and destroys the Android experience. Fail. Even the Redmi 9 with Helio G80 is better despite not having stereo speakers etc
