It is much better than the tiny sensor found on iPhone.
No amount of improvements on that tiny sensor will surpass the big sensor.

No xperia in camera category because it's alone in its pro camera category.
I also bet it would win in audiophile category.
Did I also miss the phone with the highest regular Bayer resolution and so on also 8K detail in recording, note20/s20/+?
So much for "the best" competition.
I also think we need design category and include phones you can getif you want, like mate RS, it's just harder to.

Super impressed by the HM2 Sensor on 239$ Redmi note 9 pro 5g.
It clicks as good or in some cases better images than Galaxy Note 20 Ultra which costs 5 times higher.
Meanwhile iPhone passing of 1/2.55" old stock of sensors on their new cameras.
Very minor differences in image quality compared to IPhone 11 series.
