nah, 60k MP to capture the big bang. Samsung should stop this megapixel race, it's useless. We have never seen a professional camera that races for MP

1inch should be the smallest sensor any real photographer would use , not little toy sensors

The Samsung semiconductor division does not have to bend to the will of the smartphone division, especially as smartphones aren't particularly profitable compared to semiconductor manufacturing. That's why you see Apple trying to cover more of the price range in the smartphone market as software is far more profitable.

              Same for the Pixel series.
Small sensor simply can't compete with big sensors.

Can someone explain to me why Samsung abandoned the variable aperture? I mean I knew it wasn't a big deal but wouldn't working on developing that and improve the software processing ( like apple with smart hdr on video) instead of this bs.

The problem isn't the bump, but the snapdragon processor. Shooting video with 600mp takes a lot of power and creates a ton of heat.
