Janssen, 07 Dec 2020And.. The discrimination continues. Why only the US, Korea and China get the SD version? Is it... moreObviously
SK = home of Samsung
USA = main market for Apple, where Samsung wanna be the #1
China = biggest market
Also, in South Korea and USA , they sell more flaships than they sell everywhere else.
Anonymous, 07 Dec 2020Plastic housing is the best option for a phone out there, it's durable, it's light, ... moreThe nature of rear panel has nothing to do with bending.
Plastic scratches easier than glass, also peel.
The back looks amazing. but... couldn't they make it FLUSH with the rest of the back? ._.
The rumored design for the S21 isn't bad at all, overall good, and about the rear camera bump is fine for me, it's okay and deserves that bump for the powerful camera capabilities in bumps like the 8K, 108mp, 50x periscope zoom, 10x optical zoom, etc. Some people nowadays including myself who see flat surface without bump in rear camera phone looks weird now. But this camera bump can be fixed easily with a phone case. You will get used to it like a headphone jack. If you disagree with me, then go with the S10 or Note10, both last series with no bump on the rear camera, and also headphone hack for the S10
Making a glass based phone (apart from screen part obviously!)is the most ridiculous thing happened to phone designing,next is the camera cut out on display..still ,it has become minimal on android now with little punch holes
Finished with Samsung Going back to apple To sensitive charging port to moisture in the summer on my s10 , annoying feature for a water proof phone
I really don't understand the obsession with ultra fast charging. I find 10W does a perfectly good job, so 25W would be fine. 50W, 100W is totally pointless.
As for plastic backs, what does it matter when you're going to put a case on it straight away ?
Plastic housing is the best option for a phone out there, it's durable, it's light, it doesn't bend, it doesn't ding, it doesn't micro scratch, it's single layer. There are so many great plastic composites out there that you can't even tell it's plastic. Glass back plate is the single most ridiculous application on a phone right after metal back and front plates such as aluminum. I'm not defending Samsung here I'm just stating the obvious after dealing with all of these.
uk7866, 07 Dec 2020S21+ plastic back and 1080p display? Downgrades from the S20+ I hope it ain't so..What's most important for you? Battery life, or TV resolution on microscopic screen? Hmm
nikojas, 07 Dec 20201080p screen and plastic back for 21 + that will cost $1000 plus? Isn't Samsung already v... moreMan it's 120hz, you have people out there paying that for an iPhone 60hz and reviewers just give Apple kuddos for their "innovations", Also have on Mind that Samsung has improved their plastic implementation. I wouldn't care, but of course prices are too crazy in smartphones now a day, but that is a going on for every manufacturer out there!
finally plastic is coming again in top s series,but other downgrades like display is unforgivable,let the prices spikes again and iphones will look cheap now,samsung is on the wrong path again,if they fall chinesse junk will overtake entire industry
AnonD-804996, 07 Dec 2020Question is, in which direction. Currently Europe had to deal with crappy Exynos chipsets. I w... moreHere in LatinAmerica, we got Exynos since the start, and nowdays too, expect for the S9-Note9 series, they got Snapdragon for some reason. So, there may be hope for an Snapdragon in here again or we still get another Exynos idk.
And.. The discrimination continues. Why only the US, Korea and China get the SD version? Is it because these 3 are the main market? And the rest of the world is just simply the "extra"? Exynos is garbage and always will be, no matter how many new generations of it
S21+ plastic back and 1080p display? Downgrades from the S20+ I hope it ain't so..
S21+ ,no 3.5mm .1080 only. ,i'm impatient to see the price of that crap.
Love how these promo shots always try to hide that there's a notch/hole in the screen. As if they're ashamed of it. Which maybe they should be. There have been perfectly adequate workarounds to maintaining a fully immersive screen. For some reason they decided people didn't want popups, for example, and managed to convince them as much. Beautiful piece of Doublethink, for whatever purpose.
