Sam, 19 Jan 2021Oh, what an uninformed comment. Do some research about the previously released ROG phone 3, OP... moreCheaper yeah but also lacking ... No IP rating, No wireless charging, No more Headphonejack which is crazy on such a device (using that fan mod is not conveniant at all to just use the audio jack). And the camera performance is just okay, which is not cutting it these games, even on a gamephone.

Please Asus, this time put a micro SD slot and water ingress protection in your device. Don't be like cheap Chinese phones.

Computing part not much, that is true. So let see if developers will be able to suck that power out so we can all benefit from highly competitive environment.

this proves the iphone 12 pro max does not throttle.

It’s quite funny that android fan boys always compare the iphone 12 mini or the smaller iphone 12 pro which doesnt have the same surface area than the note 20 to keep the device cool. they never use the iphone 12 pro max LOL.

When you compare the note 20 ultra to the iphone 12 pro max which is the fair comparison due to size, you see the a14 does not thermal throttle at all.

snapdragon 888, doesnt even beat the a13 in single core and sometimes (maybe) barely beats it in multiscore. welcome to 2019 speeds when we are in 2021 LOL!!!.

Anonymous, 09 Dec 2020That guy is accurate. These scores were listed on NotebookCheck article a while back. here’s a challenge, post a link directly from geekbench of any scores showing the 888 scoring 4k multi score. Do not link any webpages without a direct screenshot from geekbench like in this article from GSMARENA.
Oh yeah, there are none.

Time to wake up, all the scores of the 888 are showing 3300-3500 multi score.
Poor.

AI is the big leap next generation. A lot of CPU instructions will be offloaded Hexagon 780 processor. Same goes it GPU with the introduction of variable rate shading (VRS). Of course all of this only matters if developers implement their apps/games to take advantage of the offload.
