if you want a jelly bean phone then buy a phone that has jelly bean out of the box. don't buy a phone, especially android, then hope for an update to come. you still didn't learned your lesson since eclair-froyo times that most companies doesn't update their phones.
Does ICS improve it's battery backup or consume more battery.Lets see??
I wouldnt compare Xperia P with GS3(though i use Xperia P myself). this is an illogical comparison. GS3 scored above 15 thousand in Antutu benchmark.Where as Xperia P only scored above 5,500.The mali-400 GPU used in Xperia P is weak. It cant even match the scores of GS2 let alone GS3.The dual core processor used in Xperia P is also no match for all other dual core processors. But still if you are looking for a decent android device with moderate price then Xperia P is a good choice.
AnonD-36622, 17 Aug 2012Your statement is wrong, other manufacterers are rolling out Jelly bean?! For now only it only... moreIn reality, his statement is actually an insult to samsung, why is gsIII being compared to xperia p when gsIII owners don't even think of xperia s as a worthy competitor?

Not like IOS or Windows phone.
All android are lag UI. Except Jelly bean! go compare it NExus 4.0 and 4.1 side by side. it's just as smooth as windows phone!

It has resolution 540 x 960 pixels.
Galaxy S3 has resolution 720 x 1280 pixels.
coz wp8 is coming, and its quite competetive now..android strategically push jb to almost all devices to maintain their position to the upcoming os wars..i hop it flows like that so we cud get the benefits..hehe
DireWolf, 17 Aug 2012I'd like to see if the camera lost the macro mode, just like what happened with the 2011 Xperi... moreThe micro mode still there . Just put your lens near the object and focus the subject, I will be automatic switch to micro mode.. but not superior as we want it to be, but overall 2.4f still making a good focal.
rynn, 17 Aug 2012Hope to get Jellybean soon. S3 is getting jellybean soon. I dont want to be left out. make me ... moreOmg.. jelly bean just add a small update from ics. No big different at all.. your interface will be the same with no big changes. Xperia p really a good product and low price taq. What make xperia p lower then galaxy s3 just the processor only. But the camera mp still the same 8mp,used same mali400 GPU, both offer hd screen 720p ( s3 offer bigger size screen ) and both offer 1gb of ram. I dont see xperia p as outdated product just because no jelly bean promise by sony at this moment. So dont felt like you holding an outdated device. ;-)
I'd like to see if the camera lost the macro mode, just like what happened with the 2011 Xperias when they went from 2.3 to 4.0.
