I'm still using my 4y old Honor Note 8. Best phone I've ever had. Had Samsung/LG/Nokia/Xiaomi before.

Great now the average consumer can easily obtain a Huawei smartphone without having not install the GMS, sadly there will be no more Kirin for phone probably how ever the PC market will get ARM chips from HiSilicon! :)

A cheaper brand that came out of from a cheap brand wants to be the top of cheap in china, well, we lived to see this too. Like there is a difference between any of it, besides 10 euros price difference....

Prash, 10 Dec 2020Yes.. It's possible. Honor is the only mobile which is serving me since last 3 years without a single hangover issue. No Mobile and brand could do this long service with higher prices.

The total expenses done is a replacement of battery which is again compensated by a pair of high quality headphone gift by the dealer.

Huawei is pretty much dead for the western markets.

I hope they become bigger than Huawei. They need to have access to components to make competitve phones.

AnonD-923722, 10 Dec 2020Note 20 Ultra costs $650 with manufacturing costs and software costs included. If without that... moreXiaomi have tons of other business to cover loss with phones, just like Sony amd LG do.
                      Honor is just mobile.

Seriously you believe the 5% profit? With mi note 10 for 580 euros in europe or mi 10 pro for 1000 euros?

BoM of mi 10 pro was $440. Final cost maybe no more than $550.
Phone was over $700 in China.

5% profit and their mobile division would have been shut down years ago. You do not even get any close to recover money used to make devices.

Anonymous, 10 Dec 2020Does this mean Honor will be available in the US again? GMS services too?No. Huawei would require US government to lift the sanction on Huawei. Qualcomm simply got the approved authorization to sell to Huawei - it not related issue.
