FTC is like FAA in preventing issues. FB could have kept their money if FTC were actually functional. The purchase weren't like buying candies in a store, those deals were worth 20B USD and it was impossible that the FTC weren't involved before the deal got approved. I guess they're just squeezing large companies in these lawsuits just to make them pay just so the government can recuperate money.

So what about Amazon? Or Apple still using proprietary connection and forcing manufacturers of accessories to pay exorbitant sums to obtain MFi certification? Or Google monopolising the search engine market - Bing and other competitors don't stand a chance

I have stopped using all Facebook owned apps 2 years back and shifted to Telegram and Twitter. My life is much better now without all those Facebook apps.
