From time to time Huawei feels the urge to remind us that it is a company built on stealing, and this time it chose to use the name padOS.

If it's a tablet adaptation of HarmonyOS, then they should just call it HarmonyOS. HarmonyOS has been advertised as an all-platform OS, so giving each platform version a different name doesn't make sense for the concept and is confusing. Besides, PadOS sounds too generic. However, it's not official, just a post by a tipster, so I wouldn't take it too seriously yet.

Samsung has been fighting Ipad for years now, in fact they are the only manufacture to still make hi end android tablet. Then again so few android developers to look at tablet market, this is one of the main reason android tablet is dying, not because hardware limitations but its the software development. Hope this change with the growing market of fold tablet and such.

Why call it PadOS when they keep touting Harmony as the panacea that can run all devices and keep them connected? They were supposed to be carving their own niche not mimicking Apple.
