Russel, 14 Dec 2020It's not about you liking a brand. I remember you posting comments about how intel has go... moreI don't know about the situation in Romania. But at least here, in my country, intel processors was in a very wide range if price. From 300$ to 3000$, you can find one with Intel.

AMD, in contrast, the cheapest I could find was about 500$, the most expensive one is about 1600$. But there are only few models within that price range.

Maybe, because of the incentive that Intel (partners) pay for every sells is higher than that of AMD, thus, retailers are more inclined to include Intel models.

So, availability is a biggest problem for AMD here. Only people who really care about tech are aware of all the advantages and awasomeness of AMD powered laptop. And they will look for one. The majority is still comtent with "2 cores, 4 threads i3".

And from my personal experience, AMD is so much, so much better. I just bought a Ryzen 7 4800H laptop, and it really blows me away with all the smooth operation. No hiccups, no slow down, very long lasting battery life even that a top end processor.

Granted, my last laptop was only i5, but the feeling when using is so much better on Ryzen 7 that I doubt any i7 processor can make me feek like that.

So, as long as my advice goes to anyone who asks, AMD is always the right choice, especially with Zen 2, and next Zen 3.

I'd rather get a dell Inspiron at this price.
Mainly because it has 11th gen processor with updated graphics and also , all the ports are USB 3.1 unlike this Nokia laptop which still uses a USB 2.0 port in 2020.
One more reason to buy laptop from dell or Lenovo is that they have experience in making laptops and have a good customer service in India (they provide on site service) , On the other hand , I'm not sure if Nokia can provide the kind of service those companies are providing.
The only advantage this laptop has over others is it's weight (due to magnesium body) but that too LG can provide with it's GRAM laptop in the same price range and I'd rather buy a LG laptop instead of NOKIA anyway.

Andreidinutu, 14 Dec 2020K i prefer no brand never said i like intel more than amd Amd is overpriced and intel is too weakIt's not about you liking a brand. I remember you posting comments about how intel has good processors at the high end. Another post saying "Intel is good" about some laptop (don't remember the specifics, think it's MSI). Anyway whether or not you like intel doesn't matter, but please stop posting misinformation.
Intel used to charge $500 for quadcores and every kabylake i7 buyer probably felt like they were bitch slapped when coffeelake was released and the information about Meltdown and spectre. You were limited to 2 cores in ultrathin laptops and you had to pay over a $1000 for them.
This wasn't because intel couldn't make quad core 15W chips. They released their own quad-core chips just after amd released Ryzen 5 2500u and Ryzen 7 2700u. It was simply because they didn't have much competition. They're going to do the same with Alderlake trying to fool people into thinking that a 8 core chip with 8 additional little cores is a 16 core chip while it is not.
Even now amd is much better priced compared to intel.
Especially if you're not someone who uses your pc exclusively for gaming.
You say that intel laptops are cheaper in Romania. I would be surprised if it's actually true and the cheaper intel laptops come with new processors. In all likelihood, the cheaper laptops come with age old intel processors. Not like it matters for most people since intel has been on 14nm(++++++++++++++++++ ) for ages 😂🤣😂

Rareart1, 14 Dec 2020 She complains, often, about wide variety of subjects, sadly. Anyone who complains about a gift should be ignored famously.
You don't need to try and make her understand. She wouldn't even try to understand.
You'd be wasting time and your own sanity.

Rareart1, 14 Dec 2020 Your input here was helpful. I know a person with a laptop containing an AMD chipset. The per... moreAMD had terrible laptop chips before Ryzen 3/5/7 2x000u generation. Even the Ryzen 7 3700u is kind of a disaster when it comes to battery life.
AMD truly stepped into the competition at the absolute high end with Renoir i.e Ryzen 7 4800u by doubling the cores available at 15W, introducing LPDDR4X support, significantly improving battery life etc etc etc.
Intel's tigerlake introduction presentation had mentioned Ryzen 7 4800u more than their own chips. That tells you how much they threatened they felt 😂.
Anyway it's hard to find laptops with amd chips and the software optimization hasn't caught up yet. But amd's chips are more secure and they offer better price performance ratio.

I guess it is too overpriced according to the market. At least by the configuration point of view.

Another licensed scam by Flipkart. They will ruin the Nokia brand name. I don't know why Nokia, the brand owner is so desperate to get their brand all across the verticals.
Motorola washing machine, and now this.

launching an intel 10th gen notebook in less than a month to 2021 is not good, especially with the comet lake one not the ice lake, moreover the mediocre specs and super high price is a turn off, other well-known brands have already released intel 11th gen notebooks with even cheaper price, does nokia still relying on the brand to gain consumers?
