I'm not completely sure why GSMArena Staff thinks Underscreen fingerprint sensors are superior to physical ones. Sure it's on the front so there's no issue with access, but even the best ones aren't as fast or accurate as capacitive fingerprint sensors. Especially on budget to mid range devices which don't use the best ones, like Samsung's A series phones they are really slow and finicky.
I love my capacitive scanner on the OP6. It's incredibly fast, accurate plus I can unlock my phone even before it's out of my pocket. Even the under screen one on the OP 7 Pro which is supposed to be one of the best is not good as this.
720p at 6.6" makes this a comically bad successor to the A40, a phone that had a properly good niche as a modest and vaguely compact option.
If this is what the A40 series is reduced to now, the friend who bought an A40 last year is probably looking at a used iPhone 12 mini when replacement time comes.
