The truth is that these guys stuck with iOS have never experienced the buffet of choices that one gets with Android. They simply can't wrap their heads around the fact that other people have a choice. No wonder 80% people want nothing to do with iOS and Android remains the default choice of most users out there.

I am using OnePlus 8 pro now, wi... moreI don't have a problem with that, and you proved my point. It's way easier to replace a mediocre phone with another mediocre phone because of price point. I really doubt people are trading in the more expensive phones, Galaxy Note series for the S series, or the Hauwei P series for the Mate series every 6 months or so.
When you're phone is cheap and replaceable on a whim it's easy to do so. Congrats on going that route. I myself pay more money and have a phone that is rock solid for the duration of my contract with my provider. I have family members who go for the cheaper phones and they have nothing but problems after 8 months or so (usually LG unfortunately). And for this reason I stick with my price vs longevity theory which has worked out for me for the past 10 years or so.

I am using OnePlus 8 pro now, will upgrade to a 2021 flagship.
I am not upgrading because of some issue with my current phone, I am upgrading simply because I can.
Not everyone believes in using their phones till eternity especially in this age of fast evolving tech.
Most mid rangers these days are perfectly good enough to be smooth enough for the next 5 years for majority of the people. They can keep their phones for long time, Good for them!
I am not part of that group.
Some people upgrade simply because they can or they want to get their hands on something new. Budget devices cost so cheap these days, people can afford to switch them every 6 months or even a year. Why you have a problem with that?

These guys are just haters who ca... moreIf you take into account that they flood the market with cheap phones (and a few upper / mid range models) then yeah, they probably sold a lot. But these are the same customers who buy year after year or twice in the same year from I read on here.
I wonder if they spent a little more on a better phone from the start would they need to upgrade so fast? Maybe it's compulsiveness to have the latest cheaper phone... idk.

They made record profits and sales despite the pandemic.

Lack of cooling affects performance on iPhone.
It will affect performance on Android as well, as seen on the Galaxy S20 Exynos series.
Pedestrian 60hz display will never give buttery smooth premium experience of a HRR screen with 240hz and above touch sampling rate.
Picture quality from tiny sensors inside iPhone as well as Pixel detoriates as soon as one zooms into the image.
So specs matter no matter what anyone says. Apple is notorious for shoving down old cheap hardware in their flagship expensive models as well in order to make more profits.
Finally, this year, they increased the RAM to 6gb as they had nightmare issues with app reloading during heavy use in the past with 4gb RAM.

It is been said and done that Note 20 Ultra is the best all-rounder of 2020. Even phones came later could not defeat the beast.
DXO tried it's best to defame it but, stray dogs only bark!!
I guess Samsung will no more the leading company by the end of 2021 as the flagship feature is removed. Samsung = curved display. We do not recognise Samsung without curves that's the reason S20 series failed. And now s21

As for myself, I've never had a problem with my phone's archaic charging and I would rather pay more money for a better camera set-up for those candid moments with my family doing whatever activities. We travelled quite a bit between Canada and the USA and it sure makes a difference pulling out a camera phone than unpacking the DSLR for quick shots.
As long as you like your superfast charging is all that really matters.
