You put more than 100mm but leave the gap 26-100mm empty.
Digital zoom sucks. It looks poorly on larger screen.
Also, decreases video quality.
4K + digital zoom = Full HD or HD

Could be just me but a phone without at least a 5x optical telephoto is not a phone I'm willing to carry. It's not just about the fun of long-range shots, but also shorter range shots get a completely different (and magical) perspective through the periscope. 1.5 to 2 day common battery endurance, super-fast charging, and not heavy like a silver brick is another criteria I won't budge on - because there already are phones which satisfy them.

The lack of affordable small phones is a definite huge issue, no pun intended. At this point my friend who got an A40 last year might be sticking with it until it can't run anything and then getting a refurbished iPhone 12 mini.
The "more cameras must be better" trend is also frustrating, but that might be my own bias there because I don't do much photography so have little interest in that being the angle that's driving prices up.

And people prefer not holding cheap plastic for 3 hours a day.

Basically, the Pixel 4 but done right. Or just a pop up camera because I'm not some halfwit like everyone else that wants to whine over the nonexistent flaws of it.

Anonymous, 27 Dec 2020It may surprise you but some people prioritise function over fashionIt may surprise you, but the people who prioritize function over fashion realize the company settling for plastic in their $1000 phone also make sacrifices to function, and thus will not buy said plastic phone. Grow some brain cells. The Note 20 has no high refresh rate display, a hole in the display that cripples function further, no jack, no proper fast charging, and a slow Exynos chip in most of the world. All because that plastic back mentality that Samsung uses applies to other areas of the phone.

The poll actually talks about screen size but there is no option for screen size. Instead there is this no affordable smartphones option.

Xiaomi has released around 50 phones this year. Do you know how many of them were under 150mm, or at least 155mm tall? Zero. None.

Already gone from almost all flagships (except LG & a few... moreWe did, but the typical "anything other than the trend and its own tastes" defended that with arguments like "wireless is better, Jack is old, etc" as if it would prevent them from being able to use wireless audio.
That's because of this kind of behavior in the first place that the smartphone industry does not care about users opinion, it would be a big waste of time and man hours to sort out "I genuinely don'tike this feature because (insert valid arguments)" from "I don't want any phone to have anything else than what I want".
Hence why despite making various foldable designs which require totally different RnD, we don't have different sub designs.
Which is why there is no diversity, all phones are the same with either a punch hole or a teardrop notch, same 2mp sensors despite everyone hating them and all that.
In comparison, the automobile industry, where each model cost a lot more to develop and produce, have a huge diversity.
And it is never too late.

As much as I hate all of those of the options, I think the worst is useless cameras.
Why? because you pay more for a useless feature.
All others aren't paying extra for useless, but 2 extra useless cameras are just a waste of space, money and doesn't make the design more appealing as they think.

There is no difference between watching youtube, movies or TV shows on phones.
It is much easier task than playing games on small mobile screens.
