Was this article translated directly from German language using online translator or an app?
There are a few sentences there that doesn't make any sense, some for tue buyer and some for the reader ;D
Peace
No storage expansion? No charger in the box of a 1,400 euro phone? Weaker processor for Europe, still no headphone jack... If I wanted to spend this much on a phone lacking basic stuff like that I would buy an iPhone. Besides the A and M series Samsung is DEAD.
IPHONE IS TRASH IIII, 19 Dec 2020Ugly design but its pack with the best as possible I'll approved thisBest? Of what? 60+ bloatware. Horrible power consuming slow soc. Crappy fragile screen.
Ugly design but its pack with the best as possible I'll approved this
This what you called a flagship put the best hardware as possible
Not like iphone bulsht trash 60hz screen 2-3k mah battery trash useless humongous unusable notch front camera sht
Seems weird that the ultra can do 8k 30fps, but not 4k 120fps. Obviously these aren't confirmed specs, but I hope it can do 4K 120fps
Not worth upgrading from the S20 Ultra in my opinion especially no external SD card slot
Samsung went Apple on me so I will now move on to others.
Hanif Fikri, 19 Dec 2020Oh no, sd card going away...its risky storing my files without sd :(Use a memory stick via otg then .
I'm sure I read internal storage is faster more reliable than SD
Anonymous, 19 Dec 2020People do no buy this phone. Any phone over a $1000 with no charger makes no sense. It makes sense if you already have means of charging, less carbon footprint with the idea of less packaging, less weight, etc
I mean they could an option I guess at time of purchase to include a charger , but by default the greener more environmentally minded packaging should be good.
If companies want and need to be carbon neutral eventually, they they will need to make adjustments and short term sacrifices in order for a long term environmental gain.
I mean a longer update cycle and more repairable design would also help
Jimbob, 19 Dec 2020Design is very meh. Doesn't really look like a SamsungI'm a Samsung Guru 100% but this thing is fugly
iOS.Never.Again, 19 Dec 2020Mi 10 Ultra doesn't need 2 periscope lenses nor does it need a 10x periscope module to be... moreUh, ok? We weren't even talking about which phone has the best zoom camera though, were we? To me it looks like you're ignoring the flow of our conversation and I'm afraid I don't know how I'm supposed to answer that.
Android Authority, 19 Dec 2020Why do you need OIS at 2x? At 5x or 10x, it gets extremely shaky so it is understandable to ha... moreFrom what I have seen, OIS on Samsung phones allows the shutter to open for 1/4s without causing a noticeable blur from camera shakes even on a telephoto lens. That's already 1.9 stops of exposure advantage over 1/14s of Mi 10 Ultra's 2x telephoto lens. So even if the one on Mi 10 Ultra is capable of taking serviceable low light shots using shorter shutter speeds, S21's 3x lens naturally has an edge in terms of the maximum amount of light intake even if you take its smaller sensor and slightly dimmer lens into account.
I'm not saying Mi 10 Ultra's 2x tele is bad, don't get me wrong, but my point is that you shouldn't rush out and conclude that 3x camera on S21 will be "mediocre" based on its sensor specs alone. Plus, Samsung's software processing has improved a lot since Note 20 series.
Anonymous, 19 Dec 2020Lol everyone on this site knows you have a soft corner for Huawei.
You complain about mi 10 u... more”yet don't criticize the Mate 40 Pro main lens for lacking OIS”
I actually did it a few times in the past, including this one:
https://www.gsmarena.com/reviewcomm-2202p17.php
>A largest, the most light sensitive main sensor out of the bunch yet also the only one that does not have OIS for it, which hurts the video stabilisation and, to a lesser extent, low light performance.
So again, you're either unintentionally or deliberately bending the truth for the sake of attacking someone else. How shameless.
"why do you have a hard time accepting that Mi 10 ultra Potrait lens can?"
Stop putting words into my mouth ffs. I never said or even remotely implied that Mi 10 Ultra's 2x tele camera doesn't snap a great photo, what I was telling Android Authority is that the lack of OIS naturally limits the exposure time and makes its advantage in sensor size over S21's 3x tele camera less significant (hence "evens things out quite a bit").
You also need to understand that camera shakes are amplified and come to have more significant effect in details as you increase the zoom factor - This is why no manufacturer is bothered to put an OIS on a UWA even for their most expensive offerings whereas many include one for a 2x/3x telephoto lens used on their budget lineups.
I never said a single word about Huawei or their devices yet you couldn't resist yourself but bring it up in an amateurish attempt to defame my credibility. Whatever the hatred you have for me, I'm not at all interested. Go take your hostility somewhere else please.
Design is very meh. Doesn't really look like a Samsung
TheGoldenMellifluous, 19 Dec 2020What I'm baffled here, why they removed the option of MicroSDXC card slot in their highes... moreIt’s because the Note will have it
So the S21 Ultra will have an updated ISOCELL HM1 sensor, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and two 10MP telephoto cameras with 3x and 10x zoom. I definitely would love to see a camera comparison between the S21 Ultra and the Huawei Mate 40 Pro+.
But as for the part of not getting any accessories apart from a USB cable in the box, I'd say FU to that. If they really want to save the environment, they should really follow what Fairphone is doing.
People do no buy this phone. Any phone over a $1000 with no charger makes no sense.
