Imagine having your own chips but supporting your produtcs just sucks as much as the SD ones that you do not own.

notafanboy, 18 Dec 2020not really. As history has shown, Exynos = crap compared to snapdragon.Exynos was the better chip before the Snapdragon 820, then everything went wrong till today! It started with a few discrepancies on Antutu, then we saw serious flaws in gaming and battery performances.

I just hope that they get this one right.

If you want snapdragon 888 in EU, you have to go with Xiaomi 11. You'll get an actual fast charging with it as a bonus.

That is why I am still sticking to my old note 8. It was the only one I managed to get imported from HK with the snapdragon - after that it became much harder. I have been through exynos before and trust me you don't wanna be yourself... It is decent at first but they it does like apple... After a while it heats/throttle/slows down too much and you are forced to upgrade... Snapdragon it tends to be more consistent

Originally Exynos chipsets were superior to Qualcomm, but in the last couple of years the situation reversed. Samsung is a much larger company than Qualcomm with far more resources and it has the necessary knowledge to outcompete Qualcomm. The problem lies somewhere in the management of the Chaebol.

Samsung, the Next Frontier should be to compete with the M1. You can easily do it. Plus you have the capacity to mass produce chips for smartphones. I am hoping Exynos and Snapdragon make M1 competitors, and soon.
