Motorola has lost me as a customer. I have G8 plus, Australian version, less than 1 1/2 years old, and no Android 11 update.
Motorola also bring out so many phones that have different names in different regions with very little differences. Very confusing. Why not stick to ONE model for the whole world.

But, even for the lower end OnePlus devices with community support they will be an attractive option for many

Anonymous, 23 Dec 2020Nothing for the Z4 that came out in 2019?Honestly, the policy for these phones is kinda dumb. Moto killed off the Android 10 update for the Z3 Play, the G series have 1 OS bump only so buying the later 8th Gen or the 9th Gen devices doesn't mean much in terms of getting more updates. Anything which isn't on Android One will follow these rules. It remains to be seen whether Moto will change their stance, but I think unless there's a class action lawsuit coming their way or a major backlash from Moto users, we won't be seeing an extra update like we did on the G4 Plus...
