The watch and airpods are accessories, neither as wildly succesful as iPhones anyway.
Before they'd revolutionize a new industry every three years. But that was all Jobs, not mere Apple, he was the one providing the vision.
2010: Tablets
2008: Ultrabooks
2007: Phones
2004: Music Industry
2001: Music players (the year CDs died basically)
1998: AIO PCs
Before that Jobs was fired
So you have to go way back to 1983 and GUI in PCs...
Basically Jobs would revolutionize the world every 3 years.
What Apple did after his death? Became a bloated monster stifling innovation...
Can't do any worse than Tesla or VW..
Probably charge the 50KW battery through 18W wireless puck
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
(pick sold separately)
Apple should do what they are good at (electronic devices).
Automobile industry is not their area of expertise. They should refrain from doing this mistake.
Let them put a battery that can last a day in an iPhone, we can talk about automobile batteries then!
Probably the same what Sony is wanting to do with the Vision-S. Showcase a car then sell the devices in the vehicle.
Everything installed in the Apple car will be paired to the motherboard or system and all parts must come from Apple. Replacing the steering wheel will prevent the car from making turns. Replacing the wheels will cause the car not to run. Replacing the doors or even doorhandles will cause the doors not to open. Replacing the accelerator will cause the car to speed up excessively and cause crashes.
Charging the car will also use proprietary cables and tech. Usage of non-Apple approved chargers will prevent car from charging.
"nanocell" ... LOL. I was surprised it wasn't called "retinacell."
These guys are good at marketing gimmick.
If it's anything like there mobile phone battery life I wouldn't bother!!!
YUKI93, 22 Dec 2020It seems like Apple is trying to catch on with Sony. How times have changed, their Headphones are a massive fail...Sony's selling like hot cakes.
Annas, 22 Dec 2020We still await the others to copy the Airpods Max productWhy will they copy it? When even the original is a complete fail! Lol
To the author of the article, I believe the battery tech Apple's developing is called "monocell", rather than "nanocell". Could be a typo; nice article, btw. It's good to see the Big Tech companies like Google n Apple being pioneers in the autonomous vehicles space. Watch out BMW, Mercedes et al...
I heard the new iCar will be at a starting price of £50,000. You will need to pay an extra £10,000 for the wheels, £5,000 for the steering wheel, £6000 for the seats, and a further £4,799 for the charging cable.
