The watch and airpods are accessories, neither as wildly succesful as iPhones anyway.
Before they'd revolutionize a new industry every three years. But that was all Jobs, not mere Apple, he was the one providing the vision.

Automobile industry is not their area of expertise. They should refrain from doing this mistake.

Everything installed in the Apple car will be paired to the motherboard or system and all parts must come from Apple. Replacing the steering wheel will prevent the car from making turns. Replacing the wheels will cause the car not to run. Replacing the doors or even doorhandles will cause the doors not to open. Replacing the accelerator will cause the car to speed up excessively and cause crashes.
Charging the car will also use proprietary cables and tech. Usage of non-Apple approved chargers will prevent car from charging.

To the author of the article, I believe the battery tech Apple's developing is called "monocell", rather than "nanocell". Could be a typo; nice article, btw. It's good to see the Big Tech companies like Google n Apple being pioneers in the autonomous vehicles space. Watch out BMW, Mercedes et al...

I heard the new iCar will be at a starting price of £50,000. You will need to pay an extra £10,000 for the wheels, £5,000 for the steering wheel, £6000 for the seats, and a further £4,799 for the charging cable.
