I love Xiaomi phones, have used a dozen or so over the past 7 years but if this is another monster 6.67 inch display, heavyweight, I'm not interested. Still using the Pocophone F 1 because of perfect size and most user friendly fingerprint scanner - on the rear of the phone where it belongs.

Xiaomi phones are completely loaded with trash but new EU law will force companies to let you uninstall pre-loaded apps

Your old phone stops working when a new one is released? If the consumer would be smart enough not to buy any new phone every half a year then these companies would stop releasing one phone after another. It's not like they are threatening you to buy a new phone and you have no choice..

ericwang, 22 Dec 2020No depth this time. two reason I guess:1.telephoto lens will make flagship heavier(look what ... moreThe idea that one of the multiple rear cameras is the main camera means the other cameras are auxiliary and inferior, this frame of mind is what is holding the smartphone industry back when it comes to producing a really great camera system.
I would rather classify the cameras as:
Ultra-wide-angle = rectilinear less than 18mm
Wide-angle = 18mm to 35mm
Normal-view = 35mm to 70mm
Medium-telephoto = 70mm to 135mm
Telephoto = 135mm to 300mm
Super-telephoto = above 300mm

The phone slows down, software becomes buggy and the battery wears out. You're better off buying a cheap Android phone and upgrading every few years.

If Xiaomi retains their pricing strategy of the Mi 10T series, then the Mi 11 series will be significantly cheaper in ASEAN. For reference, the launch price for MI 10T Pro 8/256 was US$492. Maybe my Mi 9 can finally retire.

Bodygard, 22 Dec 2020It's a bad deal to buy a flagship for 700-800 and some months later another flagship come... moreThey don't, the Mi/Mi Pro are their only flagship phones (I don't know if the Mi Mix series are going to be kept or not), the rest is just them playing with names for marketing purposes. the Mi10T Pro for example has nothing to do with the Mi10 Pro, it's more of a redmi flagship (or high mid range) phone, anyway I still think their naming strategy is ridiculous and isn't helping them at all. But what's more important wright know is fixing their software issues.

Anonymous, 22 Dec 2020Budget and midrange phones offer as much as and maybe even more functionality than an iPhone. ... moreBetter in specs, but never in support
Outdating your flagship in just a few months is too much
You want to ask for a high price for your phone yet they lack updates, get slow updates if any, have many ads, then no, they are nowhere near the Apple products and therefore are worse in comparison

I don't know where you get the idea than other phone vendors can't make flagships like Apple. Imo other vendors are making better phones than Apple. Apple's success has been limiting its phones to the highend of the market but as they begin to release cheaper phones, their users are buying the cheaper phones (iPhone 11, 12, se) more than their more expensive ones.
