Andreidinutu, 22 Dec 2020You do realise the a14 is optimized for the ios version of geekbench? And that the 888 doesnt ... moreAs geekbench themselves told that is optimised cross platform since late 2018....what are you talking about?
Now they make differences between M1 and A14 or even vs SDQ from surface pro X because all are arm based
Mediatek sux, 22 Dec 2020So, the 865, 855 etc all scored lower than equivalent apple socs because of no optimization too? Of course. Apple might still be in the lead, but it isn't as far as we see it is

IpsDisplay, 22 Dec 2020You cant place exynos over mediatek in current times.. This may change in 2021 sure But ... moreMediatek midrangers are overclocked heaters such that phones at this segment requires cooling system...just numbers dont make chipset better...these phones, almost all chinese ,lack good longevity
Anonymous, 22 Dec 20209ice. Exynos we awaitMost of you guys are fighting about how one chipset will be better than other, or Exynos finally is better than Snapdragon. Someone who is more knowledgeable is thinking that even though the exnos is faster, how are the thermal management and throttling. But no one is talking about the elephant in the room.
People paying the same amount of money should not have two different experience depending on the region. It doesn't matter if the Exynos is better or Snapdragon. The fact that two identical devices which cost the same come with two different chipset means that they both are always going to be different in performance and experience, ranging from minute differences to major in some cases. why is samsung allowed to get away with this. Either ship everything with Exynos or ship everything with Snapdragon. Or acknowledge that one chipset is better than the other and change the prices accordingly.

In a previous article i saw that in exynos 2100 the efficient cores are clocked at 2.4ghz don't know how much efficient that would be.But geekbench only shows the power hope the efficiency has also been improved.
SizN80, 22 Dec 2020Qualcomm and Samsung are still about a year behind Apple anyway, these scores are more compara... moreYeah sure you got it, but this is to say that Qualcomm is achieving this level of performance while using CPU cores that are literally half the size of what Apple is using is already remarkable on their own.
Just focusing on the single core, in which it's always the most powerful CPU core (or one of the most powerful CPU cores in an SoC) that gets tested, the custom Kryo Gold CPU cores that Qualcomm uses is literally almost, if not totally half the size of the high performance cores on an Apple A Bionic counterpart, yet they still score more than half of those from Apple.
I mean, yeah sure the Apple silicons are clocked lower, but that's also another point to make, that Qualcomm chips can operate at higher clock speeds and still be more efficient than Apple's, which is why Androids still have better battery life than iPhones despite having more battery hungry specs like 120Hz display, Always-on Display, and higher resolution displays.
We also haven't talked about how bad the thermal dissipation is on iPhones, like literally almost all Android phones manage heat better than Apple does. It is only on their M1 MacBooks that they can overclock their silicons to higher levels due to better heat dissipation system in those products.
These are the things that always get unnoticed when comparing flagship chipsets from both camps, but the point is that we shouldn't really expect Android phone manufacturers to surpass iPhone's SoCs for as long as they continue to purchase their own ones from third party suppliers instead of manufacturing their own ones with comparable core sizes to Apple's silicons. This would only happen if one big Android OEM is bold enough to manufacture an expensive in-house silicon that would rival Apple's, and still maintain a relatively competitive pricing for the phone itself, and that's just the hardware part; we're not yet talking about optimizing applications to work well on the new chipset, which would again cost a lot to do.
In short, Android phones could really never beat Apple without increasing their prices significantly, but still props for excellent performance with half the given die sizes.

It's not about power as all current processors are strong enough to run any mobile game. The only question is did Samsung finally worked around that bloody battery consumption issue...
Heat generation?
SizN80, 22 Dec 2020Qualcomm and Samsung are still about a year behind Apple anyway, these scores are more compara... moreA13 blablabla. Its clear you know nothing about soc and tech. Cross platform comparison is irreverent and its said for years now. Its proven when macbook pro running osx scored higher in geekbench than the same macbook running windows 10 in bootcamp and with about 10-20% margin in single/multicore. Its show how these benchmarks are crap for cross os comparison. Each os has a different way to handle tasks. That why sd865 was better than a13 despite having greats score on geekbench
1.How much power it draws to achieve this performance!
2. Is it capable of sustaining the performance throughout multiple tests or it just starts throttling!
3. Does it overheat like my note 20 ultra exynos!
Will see.
Annas, 22 Dec 2020Is like us calling that A13 beats the flagship from 2023How can A13 beat 2023 Android flagship when it got beaten by a 2020 budget flagship?
Here's a link.

ericwang, 22 Dec 2020CPU looks good, back to ARM's core design,no stupid M3/4/5 core. Problem is GPU. Kirin90... moreLet's not get ahead of ourselves. Real world usage will determine both performance and heat management.b
Annas, 22 Dec 2020Your hate for that company makes you so embarrassing A13 getting destroyed in speed tests by budget flagships like Poco F2 pro is all over YouTube. Where's the hate? Just cold hard facts!!
Anonymous, 22 Dec 2020No he was right mediatek is worse I'm still waiting on points to back the statement that exynos is better than mediatek
All 2021 Android SoC's are better than apples A14... Even if geek bench use a an unequal sample. Speed test GX is better. Not at impressed with A14 this year. 888 is as usual going to overtake A14... Apple falling behind these days. 855+ 865 and 865+ can keep up with A13 and even overtake in certain areas. The A14 is the smallest upgrade from Apple yet. 888 will no doubt leave the A14 in the dust. Android is by far the better option. Apple won't be here in a few years. So far behind.
so much blablabla here and there. the fact is there is only two Good Processor in the Market Apple A(XX) and Snapdragon (XXX) period.
-i own Oneplus 8T and Iphone 12 Pro. both are good and fast. if i will pick 1??. i cant i love them both.
iOS..Never..Again, 22 Dec 2020Yet the A13 gets beaten badly by Snapdragon 865 based budget flagships. Is like us calling that A13 beats the flagship from 2023
