Mediatek sux, 26 Dec 2020Cus its not against any rules?Social rules. It's inappropriate when people are talking about something and you hijack the conversation with an unrelated topic. Actually, it can be considered trolling.

[deleted post]I just got the one game thats been tested by both youtubers, providing all relevant metrics. Its not some 'gimmick'. The other two are nowhere as heavy as genshin. ios even has an extra setting that android doesnt have on genshin.

Anonymous, 25 Dec 2020GeekBench is paid by Apple. The company owns it indirectly Someone should tell that to qualcomm, looks like they dont know and still use it as a standard. Sad indeed.

This guy even mentions he increased his ambient temp to match the other guys. The battery temp is so low its almost unbelievable. His battery is just 2°c more than ambient after all that 3dmark and genshin.

If not, then why do you care ... moreNot a hardcore gamer but a 1000€ device shouldn't be suffering from performance issues due to thermal throttling. Now don't try to justify A14 thermal throttling by bringing Exynos 990 into the argument.

I won't be complaining if the device was a Budget phone intended towards casual gamers.

The device is a flagship and must live upto the flagship tag.
High price alone doesn't make a device flagship or premium.

Apple only knows how to design their CPUs with large cache to cheat on GeekBench.
Run a real app through and the performance craters.

they was time when exynos was better than Snapdragon in most ways

looks the setup all same as snapdragon cpu wise just some big overclocks in all cores mali gpu looks interesting G78 mp24 core

if exynos live to old rep then higher frequency for higher performance won't work it just case all these processes

AXZz-D, 23 Dec 2020I don't want to see anyone complaining about inferior performance in Europe if this is trueThe main Exynos complaints are about bad battery endurance, high standby battery consumption, slow charging speed and SoC thermal throttling. I'll be buying one only after I don't see large amounts of people complaining on the forums, like it's always the case with the Galaxy line.

In terms of performance and efficiency, between Snapdragon and Exynos, the latter tends to lag behind and the other important factor is the high price of both the brands for that matter

LMAO XD The M1 chip is probably one of the most advanced and power efficient chips on the market, full stop, done by same chip designer that has dominated mobile chipsets for years now (here's the context hint hint). They didn't just drop M1 out of thin air, they made it from years of experience doing A series Bionic chips. But you're still claiming Bionic chips are bad and that they aren't market leading even though all benchmarks and the fact all iPhones have been the smoothest possible experience for years under real world use. It's also funny how you fanboys also leash out the moment someone says Bionic chips are the best thing. No one is even saying Snapdragon chips are bad or terrible. They are great. We're just saying they aren't market leading king of the hill as Bionic chips were always a generation ahead in performance, at least in recent years where Snapdragon was catching up a generation after Bionic chip release.

Besides, it's already winter, so outside temperatures are helping in keeping the phone cool.
IPhone starts thermal throttling badly after 10 minutes of gaming (heavy games).
