I've been using Xiaomi smartphone (their top tier) for 7 years now, but in the last 2 years I had to switch to Xiaomi lower level tier (Xiaomi 9T) due to curved screen of their top tier smartphones. I hate curved screens, and there are certainly a lot of people who think the same. And now again the same shi* with Mi11. Obviously I have to pass on Mi11 again.

Try telling that to S20 Ultra owners with dust and cracked rear camera and S20 FE owners with touchscreen problem that Samsung still can't fix after a few updates. Oh, and Apple 12 owners with yellow display issue.

Its quite funny that a lot of people would confuse the word "expensive" to the word "best"

You have two choice. Just disable all ads or buy more expensive phone without ads with same hardware or even weaker.

Its either you live in a cave or have not heard any tech news for the last 5 years. Chinese companies (especially Xiaomi and OP) now can go toe to toe with Apple and Samsung, not just in build quality, but overall user experience. There is a lot of Video's explaining how much Apple and Samsung overcharge the consumer. Xiaomi promised that they will not go over the 5% profit margin, so that the reason why they seem to come as "cheap Chinese phone".

If not for Xiaomi... moreApple doesn't even have extortionate prices, really. Their top of the line biggest iPhone with 512GB of storage is stupid expensive, but real vendors who do that s**t are ones like Samsung. Charging 900€ for a "flagship" Galaxy model with freaking plastic case back and 1500€ for the one with glass. Last time I had flagship phone with plastic back was Galaxy S2 some decade and a half ago. Don't get me started with longevity of software support. What good is 8K display and billion megapixel camera when they just stop actively updating things. They promised more and even then it's just security updates at the end. Which just doesn't convince me at that price especially since software for me is of higher importance than raw chipset speed.
Xiaomi, if it'll be at 700€ is pretty reasonable. I know they'll use top of the line chipset like always, have decent cameras, good battery, fast charging, good display. And I actually quite like MIUI. 700€ is still expensive by all means, but you get a lot for it. And while Xiaomi sucks at software support just like everyone else using Android, they at least seem to care about stuff on top of it that's theirs. Which is something I guess.
