LOL, u people never cease to amaze me in badmouthing Chinese smartphones.
If not for Xiaomi, nowadays people will still pay 350$ for SD4xx-powered smartphones!
The ads in Xiaomi is non-existent if u set ur phone to ANY European nations, OR just spend 5mins to xplore the 'settings' to turn-off the ads!
You people r the reason why companies like Apple are getting away with their exorbitant pricing policy, because u people mind always stereotyped 'Chinese phones = cheap = ads-invested = malware-rich junk'

Welp. I'm not a particularly heavy user anyway. Time to wait for a Snapdragon 775 phone. I bet this will still sell like hotcakes anyway. The chinese go crazy over anything with three 8's.

Software & Updates are extremely reliable if one doesn't enroll in some kinda beta program.
If their phones were unreliable, How come they sold 45% more shipments this year despite the pandemic? Samsung was a distant second at 7% more shipments compared to last year.
How come Xiaomi have record profits?
I bet you have zero experience using Xiaomi flagship in 2020.
I bet you are one of those guys who thinks, "Chinese = Unreliable phone"

In 2020, their products were top notch, Best in the segment most of the time.
Xiaomi is easily the smartphone manufacturer of the Year.
I've mostly used Samsung flagships and so has my family. It's been refreshing to find manufacturers like Xiaomi providing an all round premium flagship experience at such low prices.
