Sadly Huawei is foolishly following Apple without using the brain.
Useless piece of shit without 3.5mm jack in my view. Who will buy this shit?
no 5x zoom as the old nova 7 pro is a downgrade, except 120hz and 66w nothing really upgrade definitely fail in 2021
Anonymous, 23 Dec 2020very expensive, better buy mi 10 youth edition. £299 you get 125mm 5x optical zoom, snapdragon... moreNova 8 is trash indeed, but miui on mi 10 youth sucks, better flash custom rom.
RN, 24 Dec 2020I'm actually into that regular nova 8, but I also still need Google Services.Huwai 20 pro
Even if they were the best phones in the world, without google service my interest for these phone are just zero...and so should be yours if you don't live in China.
There's No upside to either of these models, the vanilla is looking to take advantage of the OnePlus Nord's and Pixel 4a 5g's limited availability and the Pro is getting smacked by the Galaxy FE...Huawei is going backwards fast
sohail shafayat, 23 Dec 2020But 5000mAh could be even better since it has 120Hz screen whis as huge as 6.72" Think about its thickness and weight. Its not as thick and heavy as Xiaomi's latest mobile.
I prefer slimmer and lighter mobiles when it's already have fast charging tech.

sohail shafayat, 23 Dec 2020But 5000mAh could be even better since it has 120Hz screen whis as huge as 6.72" Of course it will be better, but consider the fact that it's not those cheap phones with 5000mah that have like nothing else inside them, no 5g antennas no good cooling for the processor and no big camera module
Mikele, 23 Dec 2020Forget about periscope camera though it looks like a downgrade. The new iteration is good with... moreThe battery is not any bigger for the Pro variant, it has the same 4,000mAh battery capacity as the Nova 7 Pro 5G. Heck, the battery capacity for the vanilla Nova 8 5G variant is actually smaller than the vanilla Nova 7 5G.
[deleted post]Why do you people keep posting comments not backed by any evidence?
TEtech, 23 Dec 2020The battery is quite good enough, remember it's huawei we're talking about But 5000mAh could be even better since it has 120Hz screen whis as huge as 6.72"
No google play support, tough one for Huawei as it is a nice phone,... Xiaomi it is then

You know, I see a ton of hate over the Huawei Nova 8 Pro. However, I think it is a great deal considering the price, and if you compare it to other phones at this price, your getting a good deal. For example, the OnePlus 8T. Now, the OnePlus 8T does get 120Hz, but a flat display, which I extremely dislike, and I know a lot of people hate a curved display but in my opinion I really like it. Also, the Nova 8 Pro most likely has a better camera setup compared to the OnePlus 8T. And to add to that, the Nova 8 Pro is starting at around $600, but the OnePlus 8T is starting at $749 (in the USA at least). And no, I'm not a OnePlus hater, actually quite the opposite, I am actually typing on a OnePlus 7 Pro! But I think that the 8T isn't that good.
So overall, I think the Nova 8 Pro is pretty good! Not like the best, like I'm sure there will probably be other phones that could beat it out later in 2021, but for right now this is the best phone at $600. I recommend buying it!
