Don't intend to spill salt on the wound but who ever hijacked the account must have known you had no access to MCN and have assured him/herself you really had no access in order to start digging through YouTube support to target MCN and gain access. It could have been a scam setup from the very get go back in 2015 by YT employee but that's a long shot for someone to wait years hoping channel would monetize real good in order to sell the MCN info to potential hijackers. Ask YouTube if anyone was requesting MCN access or switch within previous two years or so, they probably have that on record.

It's like you just saw an article in the news about SolarWinds, then found a YouTube channel you like got hijacked....and somehow decided to attribute one to the other. Lots of YouTube channels get hijacked. Too many financially motivated bad actors out there.

Ive seen many videos telling that assign a contract with 3rd party group like MCN is not good.
MCN is good for small youtube channel to grow,
but not good for million subscribers channel.
Many scammers !!

So, the SolarWinds hack that has lasted since March affected Google, too? This is d**n serious! You should sue YouTube as I've seen in the comments. How can this tech giant automate everything and lead to a global meltdown of GMS? It's time to ditch Google for me. I can't entirely depend on one tech giant for my needs. Kindly explore you're options, am deeply sorry for the incident.
