AnonD-972548, 29 Dec 2020Good, then show me how to carry that tablet or laptop with you all the time. Lol.
The phone ... moreNot all of us live on their phones. I understand and agree, majority live on their phones nowadays, compared to couple of years ago. I'm not against behemoths phones; I'm against the disappearance of moderately sized phones.
Virtually everyone would prefer 100+" TVs, which is even greatly justified, being TV, but there are still nice 40-70" widely available for purchase. Options, I bet you hate it when they are avaliable. About the battery; someone that wants a phone of 5.8-6" is probably sensible enough not to expect it to have similar-sized battery as a 6.8 incher.
But even almost all entry-level phones are behemoths, nowadays, let alone midrangers and flagships. No thanks to the social media generation.
JDK-Apple haterz suk, 29 Dec 2020you know that the 5MP macro cam's functionality can just be replaced by the ultrawide cam... moreI believe Gsmarena on the Macro camera being actually good and useful over an Android ha✝er like you.
impinas, 29 Dec 20201) In 2010 we had 2,4-3,5 inches. 2) If anyone wants a big screen, they buy a properly big scr... moreYou minding the joker? In 2019, I had a 5.8" Nokia 6.1 plus, and the cockoo is quoting 2010, when 3.5 inchers were the max
AnonD-972548, 29 Dec 2020In couple of years the foldable phones will be a normality. Even Apple will jump to that ship.... moreOh, sorry. I forgot that we're talking about the foldable form-factor here, lol. Is Mi 11 foldable? You know that there are existing foldables with smaller footprint than this Mi 11, right? Joke!
Anonymous, 28 Dec 2020Lol, you've never bought a phone you've liked . It's not the people who complai... moreYou can complain till infinity, here, would change next to nothing. Take it to OEM-overseen forums, that's where you stand a decent chance.
And if after all those complaining you still went ahead and bought it, you'd only have whined!
Strawhat, 28 Dec 2020just look at dimension, not just screen size.
164.3 x 74.6 x 8.1 mm i think it is perfectly ... moreI should go to iPhone 12 mini because I told you that iOS is my platform of choice, right?
I used the Nokia 6.1 plus., and the battery wasn't mediocre for its size, and I'm positive that 3500 mAh could be fitted in there instead of the 3060 mAh it had. Also, trim that chin to today's standard, and the 5.8" could be 6".
That's a moderately-sized phone. I would buy it, and I personally know people that had asked me of a capable phone of such dimension.
Nafnu, 28 Dec 2020Somebody explain please, why would anyone need a 12 GB RAM on a smartphone, vs an 8 or 4 GB R... more8GB should be okay, for now, for the overwhelming majority.
But 4GB? Tell me you're joking, please. If anything, 4GB should be the barest minimum at this stage. Asking why someone would need more than 4GB of RAM is nothing short of ludicrous.
I, myself, as a heavy user, wouldn't buy anything less than 8GB going forward. I don't want to be frustrated by my own phone/money. I rather save up and get what would serve me efficiently than settle for something cheaper that would be a source of agony or discomfort.
Android--Master, 29 Dec 2020You again?? Twisting information? Those hours you mention translate into not more than 15% lo... moreIt's always the 60hz brigade complaining about high refresh rate being not that useful.
JDK-Apple haterz suk, 29 Dec 2020you know that the 5MP macro cam's functionality can just be replaced by the ultrawide cam... moreNot if the ultra wide can not focus close enough to the subject, a good macro should allow very close up pin point focus.
Anonymous, 29 Dec 2020Xperia 5ii set 60Hz scored 9h overall more than set 120Hz.
Galaxy S20+ set QHD@60 scored 10h... moreYou again?? Twisting information?
Those hours you mention translate into not more than 15% loss of battery. In some cases it is less than 10%.
You aren't losing 3-4hr of battery usage daily. Just stop with your lies.
Net gain of daily usage or screen on time is not more than 1hr for a phone which gives an average screen on time of 7-9hr.
You can keep it on low 60hz and get downgraded experience. Some of us aren't going back in time to experience amatuer 60hz. Learn about Touch sampling rate (This one has 480hz). Your Sony garbage can't produce screen this fast. Only Samsung can do it. You might as well go back to lower nits screen from 2013 since that will consumes less battery. Go beg Sony for putting a bigger battery. Those cheap cl0wns need to give proper fast charging. Enough of tortoise paced 21W charging!!!
Apple needs to take a note and do the same thing with the chargers: Offer them for free on request.
That's ticks all of my checkboxes except the telephoto.
Gonna wait till the OnePlus 9 to choose
Anonymous, 29 Dec 2020Xperia 5ii set 60Hz scored 9h overall more than set 120Hz. Galaxy S20+ set QHD@60 scored 10h... moreObviously you won't understand because obviously you haven't actually used a phone with 120hz refresh rate. And I play Call of Duty mobile daily. It supports the high refresh rate on my note 20 ultra. The difference between it and my wife's iPhone 11 is night and day. It's not just "smoother scrolling". Your ignorance is disgusting.
JDK-Apple haterz suk, 29 Dec 2020you know that the 5MP macro cam's functionality can just be replaced by the ultrawide cam... moreMaybe xiaomi opt out a good UW with AF because pricing dude
I think it is quite good enough.
ericwang, 28 Dec 2020China have more less tax for smartphone.
And sitting on the top of smartphone supply chain.
The store/distribution in western country took bigger commission compared to China because of the more expensive salary & higher land value (more expensive rent).
