"Xiaomi decided to go old school and introduced only one flagship phone today."
Till 28 December, 2121 there will be 15-20 Xiaomi mi 11 series phones and all will be called Mi 11 pro, ultra, Pro 4g, ultra 5g, lite 4g, pro 5g, lite 5g, 11i, 11s, 11 AT.. then another 11T series with same name scheme.

I want to cry, Chinese companies thinking about nature and environment...
It has been started with removing 3.5mm saving space of the phone, then removing sd card slot for the sake of speed of the phone.
Now this, they'll remove the charger...
Next step is removing screen, they will send you one if you need a screen otherwise you'll use your imagination...
Then they will sell you empty box, when you need to use your fingers...
On the air of course.

Xiamoi phone's is very good specially in battery improvements. But unfortunately it hasn't ip68. I don't know why? 😔🙁

I mean look at the car industry, there are so much choice and diversity we can easily be lost among all those vehicles, yet cars are way more difficult, costly, time consuming and requires more RnD per variation to make than smartphones, yet cars have variations of sub-variant of sub-series.
And the car industry isn't known to be the most consumer respecting one...
We could at least have diversity, I mean, there are more diversity in foldable than in regular smartphones...

RnDing a model that since the beginning have capabilities to accommodate on demand different configurations like pop up, punch hole, notch, bezel, different SoC, different cameras configuration, etc, would be darn easy and would allow to hit many market at once.
The same body could easily be tweaked for various sizes and hardware.
Like desktop computer's cases that can take a lot of hardware totally different from each others...
But because of those anti everything, we are stuck with what is basically a single type of smartphones despite a LOT of various demands in general and in many specific themes (notchesless/holeless, small, thicker/thinner, mid-range with top camera, cheap with high end SoC like the Pocophone F1).

Mikele, 28 Dec 2020Absolutely even here in Africa is the same trends all timesI didn't know they ripped off Africa too. Honestly their flagships are trash anyway. No headphone jack, no micro SD, no IP 68. I'd much rather spend €200 on the Mi 10T Lite 5G. Much better value
