Mr.Someone, 29 Dec 2020Can any user tell me how realme actually performe in real life? The spec are fancy but Ihead a... moreOwned one of the midrange Realme 6 for a few months. Phone was fast while new, but it started lagging after 1 month. Other issues I had were ghosting at 90Hz and battery drain excessively while standby. Factory reset would only fix the lag for a few days before it return again. Ghosting I suspect was due to poor quality LCD used by Realme. Sold the phone at a low price after Realme rejected my request for a new replacement.

The funny/frustrating thing for me is the Realme 6 was a trade-up from a new Realme 5 that I returned for defective display (black lines). Either I am super unlucky or Realme just have QC problems, it's up for you to decide.

The charging support is quite awesome and the Mediatek Dimensity processor is again really good in this device.

AnonD-923722, 29 Dec 2020Even if you nail : 1. Performance 2. Software 3. Brand 4. Battery and charging 5. Design... moreMost of your points revolve around pricing. I am guessing in your region X50 pro and Mi 10 were priced similarly. In my region, X50 pro is approx $150 cheaper than Mi 10 which makes X50 pro better value.
I have personally never used Realme so can't comment on the image processing but as for camera modules are considered Realme is little wierd in its choice of modules. 6 pro has a telephoto camera but 7 pro doesn't. X3 superzoom has a 5x periscope with OIS whereas X50 pro only has 2x telephoto without OIS. The camera system doesn't improve as you go higher in the lineup, it just changes.

                              Even if you nail :
                              1. Performance
                              2. Software
                              3. Brand
                              4. Battery and charging
                              5. Design

It isn't enough to be an proper flagship/flagship killer unless Realme :
                              1. Makes the price more competitive (Realme X50 Pro is overpriced, Mi 10 kills it)
                              2. Remove useless macro and depth cameras
                              3. Add an 108 MP sensor with super resolution sensor or add an telephoto camera at least 3x
                              4. Up their game
                              5. Level up their camera hardware ($600 without an OIS is absolutely trash)
                              6. Improve their camera software processing (Realme has too aggressive colours, AI, sharpening, and noise reduction, they need to tune it)
                              7. Make it an great value for money ratio (Realme X2 Pro was superb, but X50 Pro wasn't
