Anonymous, 31 Dec 2020Nope A57 lower power cores still have 32 bit silicon built into them, despite them being 64 bit... moreSo Q3-Q4 of 2022 but most likely 2023 for true 64 bit devices.

MI and realme are the curse of the smartphone industries in india. Now iq007 joins the list of crappy Chinese manufacturers and as usual the public will be fooled by the price and the specs and buy an incomplete product that has the most annoying OS.

Anonymous, 31 Dec 2020Since 810, all 8xx are 64bit. "64 bit" is not same as "64 bit only" which is different from "has 32 bit hardware too but not directly usable or supported"

Manufacturers are NOT forcing you to buy their latest products anyway (except Apple maybe, but they're now starting to slowly change after being caught doing those anti-consumer moves).
You really just need to upgrade whenever you need to or feel doing so.

Manufacturers are making new chipsets every year because in the entire world, there will always be at least one person that would be due in for an upgrade, and they're catering to offer the latest every single time, so you really can't blame them. Oh wait, you really shouldn't blame them at all. They're simply doing their own things, and it's already up to you to decide on what to do with your own money.

Because ARM thinks there is atleast 12 to 15 % mobile apps still relying on 32 bit.

Though they have promised to remove all 32 bit silicon from the Soc, but only in 2022.
