And and winner is APPLE!
And the losers are:
SAMSUNG, SAMSUNG FANBOYS in America, and last but not the least--and also the true victim of this verdict--APPLE FANBOYS!
With 1 less competition for APPLE, I can smell imminent price hike for iPhones. More money from consumers' pockets will go to APPLE's bank account.
Too bad APPLE FANBOYS don't realize that the ONLY winner here is APPLE.
@ samsung! $1.05B is not enough! make it $10.5B will be enough! so its mean you still thankfull! lol
It's sad that company so big and powerful as Samsung has to copy other companies products. I can understand that some anonymous Chinese company do that, but Samsung has enough potential to make their own design.
u deserve Samsung
LG is the best must sue Iphone and Samsung for stealing everything fromit
Anonymous, 25 Aug 2012Will never buy anything from apple again. As an iphone 4s user, think there is too little prog... morereally? as if samsung is making any progress. all they do is just add cores to their phone then put it in a shell that looks like other manufacturer's work. really made a significant progress there
its ok samsung, the google/motorola vs apple is on its way, im very sure that samsung helps google to win this case, im a wp fan and i hope that nokia will fight apple next..
benny, 25 Aug 2012ofcourse its a american court vs samsung and this is the only way that apple its going to win ... morehhhh don't be a troll
you should have known from the last year that the judge is a KOREAN, besides that american judiciary system isn't biased towards american business
AnonD-5661, 25 Aug 2012congrats for apple and I wish they proceed to appealing to ban samsung crap and take the compe... moreI don't own a Samsung product but I do however own an Apple product. I do however, regret purchasing the Apple product and only awakened from their "spell" much later. I used to be an Apple fanboy, but now I'm neutral. I look at things objectively.
Apple copied Windows Phone OS style of notifications inside iOS 5 by showing a small banner at the top before disappearing after a while, yet there was no lawsuit from Microsoft.
years before the iPad was announced, Bill Gates introduced the idea of a tablet. No one cared. Few years down the road Apple announced the iPad and they were hailed as geniuses. Now when Microsoft announced the Microsoft Surface, many claimed they copied Apple's idea.
Apple copied Google's Android OS style of viewing notifications from the lockscreen by simply sliding them in iOS 5. Why isn't Apple facing any serious legal issues over this?
All I can say is that I agree with Samsung's statement. Apple winning this lawsuit WILL lead to reduced consumer choices and higher prices.
Apple iPhones aren't that great. They suffer from serious compatibility issues with many 3rd party products. The iPhone cable can only be used for the iPhone whereas other phone manufacturers use a standard cable that will work with almost any phone, Nokia, HTC, Samsung, Sony, Huawei, LG, Asus, Motorola and so on.
Yes, I admit that the retina display on the iPhone is great, however, the internals do not justify the high price, neither does the "fantastic" design.
Apple is not keen on their consumers, they are only keen on consumer dollars.
Samsung fanboys seem to be responding just as I thought they would... Just like Samsung did... Making it all out to seem like some sad loss for the American consumer. Quit your crying and stop COPYING, Samsung!!!
i dont understand why there are so many irrelevant nokia lovers prancing about here. secondly, in all honesty, apple are only doing this cause they know that they have met their match. the galaxy S was similar, granted. the latest devices by Sammy, roughly THREE years later, kick the s*** out of the iPhone. Why? go to apples page on gsmarena and just look at the phones. you dont see LG and Sony in courts battling over their 3D smart HD TVs and stuff, no. why? They are too busy innovating to give us the best quality product at the best price, same way Toshiba does not sue hp for making a grey notebook. Because apple is losing out to android and Sammy in the smartphone market it decided not to play like the grownups and go crying to mommy instead. that is all.
justice has been served. There is no easy way to success, you either come up with something original and earn your respect or you pack up in shame. Apple has played a leading role as far as modern technology goes. Apple set the pace and others sprint for a catch up. But samsung coppied without the slightest form of shame, dignity or self respect. Samsung, even the blind could see your willful, shameful photocopy of Apple's products. Not an Apple fan, but let truth takes the front roll for once without bias or sentiments and blind loyalty. I rest my case!
NZE 1, 25 Aug 2012Hip hip hip hurray!! Samsung should go to hell. Long live PLAY, Long live SONY.Sony is awesome. Samcopy should take a lesson from Sony and get some originality!
Hip hip hip hurray!! Samsung should go to hell. Long live PLAY, Long live SONY.
Apple don't know how to handle a little competition. Instead, they sh#t in there panties and rely on other people to solve there problems. This is one reason why I would carry on supporting Samsung. Apple is crying because Samsung took a few of there ideas and BETTERED them way beyond what they could do. All Samsung has done is show that Apple are incompetent and incapable!!
ofcourse its a american court vs samsung and this is the only way that apple its going to win against samsung , but who cares sgs s3 in one week sold 10 milion copies...
Its a good thing that apple din invent or manufacture automobile otherwise no one could have made something which runs on four wheels!! :D LOSERS!! Apple is just totally insecure about their position worldwide and esp in US coz of samsung.. i hope now they shut their mouth n just let the consumer enjoy the variety which companies has to offer..
tadam, 25 Aug 2012No shhhh Apple won in the US! Was there ever really any alternative?
If Apple sued me for usi... morehhhhhh
the judge is a korean
and everybody knows how ethnocentric are koreans ?
they ,unlike americans, think that supporting a korean business is a national duty and a sign of patriotism
I think if the judge had been anything else, samsung would have paid much more compensation
