Anonymous, 03 Jan 2021Like saying in China is better than in USA, without doing any research.Funny because Apple is basically the CCP of the tech industry while Xiaomi and Samsung are providing fair competition.

What a useles comparison. Mi 11 has android which is fail. Also no one needs such a long coverage of wifi signal. And most of user who will buy mi 11 won't be having the new router. iPhone is the world leader

This explanation makes no sense. First of all, 6 GHz is not available for Wi-Fi in China; it's only for cellular. Second, neither the router nor the phone support 6 GHz/Wi-Fi 6E; they support some madeup thing called "Wi-Fi 6 Enhanced", which is intended to obscure the fact that they don't support 6E. Third, the Xiaomi phone does not combine 5 GHz + 6 GHz; that's just not physically possible.

Fourth, notice the reported RSSI in the bottom right corner? It's significantly worse for the iPhone at each location. Is Xiaomi covering the iPhone antennas to make the performance worse?

The main difference between these two phones is that the Xiaomi one supports 160 MHz channels and the iPhone supports 80 MHz. But without 6 GHz/Wi-Fi 6E, you can almost never get a 160 MHz channel in practice because the band is too congested.

Bottom line, Apple focuses on user benefits, so they're not going to add some nonsense feature like 160 MHz if nobody can use it. And there's something off about how Xiaomi ran the test.

Putting Old hardware inside new phones is exactly what Apple does.
They could have easily put X60 instead of X55, but X55 was chosen to keep costs low.
End result is terrible battery drain on 5g with that modem on a phone with already terrible battery life. Only iPhone 12 pro Max escapes the battery disaster owing to a bigger capacity battery.
X60 was easily available around that time as Snapdragon 888 phones are available within 2 months of iPhone 12 series launch.

Hoping my. Country will improved internet speed and more accessible cell sites. No matter how fast the internet but limited client server, It's useless. You have to struggle to connect. Yeah I get it. When you're rich. Nothing is impossible.

Is it not weird that they make a router which supports 3,6gbs wifi, but only 2,5gbs lan ???
Like this you can never reach the theoretical wifi maximum... they should have put at least the WAN and 1 LAN port 10gbs. After all its backwards compatible to 2.5 an 1gbit/s

eggyegg, 03 Jan 2021Can I use it as a microwave oven by leaving food near it?No you don't need to keep the food near to it. It's range is very good. So just order your food. And the food will come in its range it will be heated up from distance.

Also no use of thermostats now
