anonymous, 06 Jan 2021dude mtk is useless processor compare to qualcomI think that you are lost in time. Three years ago, things were different but actually currently the top mediatek processors are actually pushing close to the performance on the Snapdragon 855.

To All those out there saying that mediateck is terrible: Mediatek have made big leaps forward, the g90t is an extremely good performing, popular chip. The dimensity 800u ( in the note 9t) is extremely powerful topping the 732g found in the Poco x3. Put it this way you definitely won't be lagging in power with this phone just because it's a "Mediateck"

The SD 662 is not on par with the Mediatek 800U (the 800U scored 340,000 on Antutu) . Do you still live in the early 2010s? Mediatek has already made a lot of improvements, I personally use a SD 865 Phone but had my time with a Mediatek G90T phone and it was very capable.

                    Dear team GSMArena,
A small note that a similar named Redmi 9T (9 Power in India or Redmi Note 9 4G in china) has decided to make its way to MALAYSIA (near Singapore) but not sure it will launch globally. Fun fact, it launches the SAME time as the redmi note 9T 5G in January 8 20:00 GMT+8 XD

So, at least one good phone from Note 9 series in 1 year period (9 Pro is also good phone, but only in green color have normal back camera design)

"... it will ship with Android 10 out of the box."

                                    Very bad move from Xiaomi.

The Redmi Note 9s/Pro/ProMax that came last March 2020 (9+ months ago!), came also with Android 10. But BOTH (9s/Pro & 9T) will end with the support at Android 11. This will be a really short lived smartphone. There is no reason to get it. Better wait for other models/brands that come with the latest Android 11.
You are the consumer. Don't support bad practices like these, with your money.
