Anonymous, 04 Jan 2021I guess this is a joke. Who really cares about an SD slot in 2021? There is plenty of cheap... moreMany people still need it since if you want to read some data which already exist there. It will be a disaster step not having the port for SDCard. 98% peopls still care about it in 2021.

There is plenty of cheap... moreMusic streaming services are rubbish, monthly charges that could run into thousands if you subscribe long enough. An sd card is a cheap and effective way of only paying once and only having the music you like accessible to you, not 1.9 million songs you'll never listen to

There is plenty of cheap cloud storage solutions for videos and photos, as well as streaming media services. I personally have not used an SD card in probably a couple of years.

I disagree with Samsung's penchant for trivializing the hopes and aspirations of its proponents.

Anonymous, 04 Jan 2021It is not about Samsung does not want to make a much better phone than anyone else. Any bran... moreI agree about Apple's dominance of the market for phones over $700.

Though I disagree on your camera specs sheet, for the majority of other specs, except the 144hz screen, which is unnecessary. Samsung already has most of this, and some better specs.
About the Cameras, Samsung should just have 3 zooms being 3x, 6x and 12x, and an ultra wide, each with the same sensor that does 4k HDR, has 10-12MP, with atleast 1.22um or larger pixels. If the cameras are turned well, they could have some superb photos. A slight improvement from the Note20 itself would be great. And a good 48-108MP main shooter for absolutely great image quality. 12Gb RAM, and 128Gb storage is more than sufficient if it has an SD card slot. Also, like I've mentioned many times previously, glass is too fragile, regardless of what the brand or stated strength. Some Kevlar Graphene Composite would a great replacement, with much higher strength and way lesser shatter issues, if any. Using the Exynos 2100 and most of the other components from the Note 20 Series should help keep costs lower. And this shouldn't cost anywhere near the $1800 ballpark.

If sales go down drastically, they may change some things.
If sales go as expected, nothing changes.

Looks like each model is gonna be $100/€100 cheaper than 2020 models.
But Samsung charges $35 for the 25W charger.
So, you save $65 only compared to s20.
Better CPU, same cameras, weaker screen, no sd, no jack, plastic body, same battery (s21)

Well...at least the Ultra is getting the microSD slot despite it not making sense that a maker of microSD cards is not allowing that support on their other two phones

That said, I'm still never getting a Samsung because they're straight hypocrites and there are better phones for that price than theirs...

I just traded in my galaxy s9+ yesterday for an S20 ultra. So far, it's ok but I am not super impressed. At least I only paid $700 after trading in my old phone.

Been using Samsung S series for good 5 years now, with the current S20+ being the latest.

Looks like this would probably be the last one for me from Samsung.

AnonD-973296, 04 Jan 2021there microSD card users, now u have a full fledged flagship with one. enjoy paying 1000+ buck... moreDepending on the other details I might. Right now the only phones that have the features I need are budget Redmi or Poco devices which have bad specs. Lack of SD slot is an absolute dealbreaker for me as is lack of 3.5mm jack.

Any brand could do this, but none would sell enough to cover the money they would spend.
Except Apple, no other brand sells more than 30 million units of phones above $700.

You can make a phone with : SD888, 16GB ram ddr5, 512GB ufs3.1, 108MP wide, 50MP 1/1.28" ultra wide, 64MP 1/1.7" 2x and 48MP 1/2" 5x periscope, 7000mAh, 120W, graphite/copper pipes/vapor chamber cooling, 7" QHD 144Hz HDR oled , stereo with dolby, 8K and 4K HDR recording, gorilla victus both side, stainless stell frame, dual sim + sd slot non-hybrid, mmWave 5G/sub6 + all bands possible, IP68 etc, jack, laser AF or ToF, IR beam.

Phone like this would need to be price way more than $1800 , also sell too many units just to cover money used to produce them. Of course any android brand would lose money in the end by not selling enough.

Only Apple would sell units enough to recover the money and probably still make profits, because they already charge more in many locations ....
