AnonD-923722, 05 Jan 2021nooooooooooooooo!!!!!! no more huawei? later they will become lazy like apple and samsung. alm... moreXiaomi is unlikely to become the next Huawei in the short term as they have a relatively low spend on R&D and don't produce their own phones. Maybe in the long term as they grow more and have more profits to spend on R&D

Oppaii, 05 Jan 2021I don't think Biden will make that happen tbhApparently he's not flipping a lot of Trumps implementations as they are economically viable ideas.
Huh, who would have guessed.

Anonymous, 05 Jan 2021I mean Vivo and Oppo are doing better phones than HuaweiI think Oppo & Vivo doing great
But in Camera Huawei still beat them.

And in 5G, huawei have the most patent of 5G beating all US companies combined.
On the other hand, Oppo & Vivo didn't have tech on 5G at all. They just pay the technology

Anonymous, 05 Jan 2021I hope they crash and burn. Let that be a lesson to use proprietary components. On the same note, I hope China bans iPhone and they suffer heavy losses as well. Another proprietary company that is pure corporate greed.
We need Sony to bring back a great device, and HTC. They made solid unit's back in the day.

Huawei was on course to overtake Samsung for the #1 spot before the US intervention.
It was #1 briefly during 2020.

AnonD-923722, 05 Jan 2021nooooooooooooooo!!!!!! no more huawei? later they will become lazy like apple and samsung. alm... moreExcept for rgb/monochrome combo, there was nothing new from huawei phones that were useful. Reverse Qi is stupid, ppl complain about battery, pointless to share. RYYB sensor is worse solution than monochrome.

- Asus had periscope years ago, with true zoom
- Camera is smaller than Nokia 808
- even Samsung Gran Prime (2014) had already night mode

Oppo has more contribuitions to mobile community.

I hope people don't "replace their devices", forcing the companies to come up with phones that people actually want, instead of following the "analysts".
