Oth... moreHuawei is also doing the computational photography right and Xiaomi and Oppo are going right after them as well, certainly. Apple on the other hand, I have no idea what happened to them last year, but they really dropped the ball in image processing last year with iPhone 12 series. Newer hardware yet clicks worse looking photos than iPhone 11 Pro in a lot of scenes.. sigh.

You just can't swallow the fact that Non-Chinese manufacturers are following and copying Chinese manufacturers. Must be quite a shocker for you as it was the other way around in the past.

People, time to look somewhere else. No charger in the box, 1080p panels, no micro sd card only on the Ultra. Price could be the same or if they put those $150 less then I don't mind but if they do come more expensive or the same price as last year models not worth it.

Otherwise, they all do the same thing. Refresh rates are for a pointless bragging spec for most users, as is 5g, or WIFI 6.
But even camera hardware is becoming mired in meaningless pixel races again, because computational photography is actually hard to get right unless you are Apple or Google, and to a lesser extent Samsung.

So funny how they avoid to mention the optical zoom... But people with knowledge will ask for it or research so they'll avoid this phones, less if the Ultra is their option at that huge price... Better buy something else from competitors with more sense.

Lack of optical ... more1) no current phone has optical zoom, just many prime lenses of different FLs.
2) digital zoom degrades quality by dropping resolution (both stills and videos) .
3) doing fake bokeh with 52-80mm is to deal with head distortions easily seen on wider lenses. Compare a photo taken with 25mm, 35mm, 50mm and 85mm lenses. Your face is much better with 85mm.

S21 and S21+ are just bad. S21 Ultra is the only improvement over S20 Ultra.
Lack of optical zoom in S21/S21+ is a very bad move.
Also, I don't get why the hell they put x3 OPTICAL zoom to S21 Ultra. Can't its 108 MP sensor digitally zoom it, just like they made S21 "tele" lens do?
