Is this something an unbiased jury would do??
" In one minor snag, the judge sent them back on Friday after discovering they had made damage awards for two devices not found to have infringed, and the jurors then revised the award, which had been $1.051 billion."
The listed above are outdated, Samsung would really don't mind blocking sale of it. Samsung is hit and always be hit whenever Apple exists in the earth.
Well Apple is copying everything as well, firt of all it launches bar phone which was already in the market thn it was touch screen which infact was also in the market already, thn it's phones can call, text, camera etc and these all features were already there by other suppliers so everything is a copy nothing is new concept just old device with some innovations. Apple only wants it's monoply that is why we are seeing so many law suits. Apple enslave its customers by restricting thm on the devices. why there are always jail breaks for apple deivces? bcoz apple devices are infact a jail. I am an owner of iPhone 4 and it is a jail, so next time Apple your are history... Samsung or HTC here you go, you have a prospective customer ready for your phone soon...
Joe, 28 Aug 2012buy USA products..I will prefer to buy USA items, but now everything is made is China....soon evey baby on earth will be made in china
Craps. Apples are craps.. What r they thinking?? If you lose out on sales and revenue then do yr marketing right n get it back on tracks. Go lawyer n sue patent right is a stupid n negative thing. I will always support Samsung as their phones are getting better and always listen to customer feedback.
I will never ever get an apple because i can't stand a company patent a rectangular shape phone which is touch screen and this is call design.
i ws thnking of buying samsung galaxy duos S7562 (xpected in sept 2012)...
considering such bans coming up..shud i buy ir or not...??? will ther be in prob in future? plz help..
Great, now the rest of the world should banned "THE MOTHER OF ALL COPYCATS" all apple products. Yes all of them.
United States are JUST barely 0.2 billion people vs. the rest of the world 5.8 billions people? Now see who has really win in the end?
i think customer in the USA will be the victim in this situation due to the samsung lost. most of the new phone with new technology that create vary on price and type will be stop from entering USA market.I Hope it will not get impact on other country . Because i need to have choice in life not stuck with one thing.
stop crying like a baby apple grow up samsung is there to make money aswell as you. u use their patents like they use yours they pay you $50 for each handset they sell what else do you expect. grow up and concentrate on your customer's rather than the court, samsung has taken more than half of your customer's in past 3 years and they are still in the game to take more, they dont waste time and money for stupid allegations against other good manufacturer's.
The Batman, 28 Aug 2012Be specific. Which Android device? I can change batteries on my SamSung S II phone. iPod, iPho... moreI'm not sure a non removeable battery is such a big problem on a phone anymore - people can easily carry a power pack which takes up similar room in their pockets & if you pick the right one it will charge more than one device. Plus it saves powering off the phone to remove the battery - just plug in & away you go. Plenty of other phones/tablets have non removeable batteries too. (Samsung tablets, HTC one X etc..). Plus there's usually a battery case for pretty much most phones on the market. Just keep it in that case & switch it on when you want it to charge your phone...
And I've never owned a phone long enough for the battery to go dead. I charge my phone every single day & non have had a battery completely die on me before my 2 year contract is up & I'm upgrading the phone anyway. Modern batteries will take around 1000 complete charge cycles (cycle being from totally empty to totally full - so if you charge from 90 - 100% it's only 1 tenth of a cycle) that gives you around 3 years if you do charge every single day....
Court losing is a new era for Samsung, call it a free marketing ad or commercial, till sept 20 american consumers will SHOWER SAMSUNG STORES to OVERBUY EXISTING SAMSING SMARTPHONES and it will INCREASEEE SAMSUNG sales , i deem there will not remain any amount of SAMSUNG phones to ban for :-)))))))))
P.S. apple 4s died before birth when SAMSUNG GALAXY S II came and iphone 5 is already dead in lullaby when on may 3 SMASUNG GALAXY SIII came :-),
Uncle Samsung has already beaten iphone. Iphone has also stolen many patents such as touch sensitive interface, GSP receiving technology from Motorola etc.
DAN13L, 28 Aug 2012That is my android device. I can't swap my battery.Be specific. Which Android device? I can change batteries on my SamSung S II phone. iPod, iPhone, iPad, etc. = cannot swap batteries. What is the reason behind this other than Apple wanting consumers to buy new products whenever battery goes dead? Fortunately we have on internet people that come up with solutions to these kind of rip-off. Google "iFixit" and see how to keep your bucks in your pocket.
Anonymous, 28 Aug 2012agree mate, stupid thing is ive owned iphones and androids.. went from the iphone 4s to the sa... moreI am in same boat and was buying iphone5 but this has really put different light on an already greedy company..They got millions in the bank by ripping off customers,,they go on about making good products sounding all caring but they are jusy moneygrabbers.Oh i could go on but if apple are are so customer friendly why are they more interested in money??
Boyan, 28 Aug 2012Yeap. Boycot is the word I am smelling from many people out there. History has proved that bru... morehahaha...how about |patent-free phone| for all phones accept Apple? Sammy should make a sub clause that Apple is excluded from this benifit.
Wonder what's going to happen to providing the hardware to Apple. I guess Sammy has no choice (and they probably have a contract with each other), since it's business after all.
Anyway, who will hurt the most from all this is the consumer (us), since prices will go up, less innovation (accept Sammy of course with the new SGS3). Apple will just plug in some NFC (maybe) in their iPhone5 and then say, it was me who invented NFC (...NOT). Good thing they can' patent NFC. :P
for the recent years apple's main products are lawyers and lawsuites and nothing else. a predicted behavior of a thief who'd like to protect his theft.
Does this mean that the MIB team working for Apple will bust down my front door to find my old Galaxy S that I keep for emergencies so it can be banned from my life?
This really is one step closer to Apples idea of a new world order where every living person in the world has to face California once a day and chant "All praise to the mighty Apple".
