Instead to join goofle to create ONEPLUS watch, use this Time and ask them to help you improve your camera, Ask them to show you their camera secret on pixel phone, is better than to join them for watch project.

Doesn't matter...in the end Sony will lose in all camera test vs Apple, Samsung, Huawei and now even Xiaomi, Oppo, OP. New Xperia 1 II i 5 II is best example of that.
Even older phones like S10+, Huawei 30 Pro etc kicks Sony ass in camera reviews.

I never understood why OnePlus phones are always listed at the top of the camera phones (GSMArena is no exception). Even CEO agrees that OnePlus cameras suck.

Pete we need a 48mp 1.2um 93 fov, 64mp 1.0um 3x, and a 12mp 1.55um 93 fov monochromatic to use for depth and improved dynamic range by using it for HDR for pics and video and to help boost low light video quality. No one needs macro or 120+ fov

Maybe they should focus on honoring their warranty! SIM recognition keeps getting worse and worse.

Buy a Nord if you're concerned about price, and ok with a mediocre camera. A lot of people want a true flagship phone and the OP8Pro was a step in the right direction. They are giving us both options I don't see the issue.

Yay, OnePlus Flagship Killer phones will finally become the very thing they were initially trying to kill - overpriced flagships!

                        Can't wait to start celebrating!

I think their cameras are good enough. I'd rather see them working on cutting their prices in half instead.

While it's great that community still works on getting GMS for Huawei customers, I'm too lazy to go throug that. Still, no metter how good the method is, there's always something that don't work. I don't think it's worth the trouble. That's just my opinion. P40 pro, if it had GMS it would probably be the best all rounder in world. Great camera, excelent battery life, EMUI works smooth... Love that phone.

you can't improve your camera department with 2mp and 5mp modules.

These cost more than ones previously used.
Unless many cuts are done ( macro/depth instead of "zoom", older gorilla glass, no IP rating, ram/storage from cheaper chinese supplier, cheaper oled, usb2.0/2.1 and more) it is impossible to have all best features for same price best phones used to in 2016.

OnePlus should focus more on their camera, but also the features of the camera. I don't really see improvements in some features. For example, 720p@480fps wasn't improved from the OnePlus 7 Pro, you would think they would make it either 1080p@480fps or 720p@960fps, but it went unchanged from the 7 Pro to the 8 Pro. It kinda feels outdated when they do stuff like that. I think they added 720p@960fps to the OnePlus 7T Pro, but I'm pretty sure it was with interpolated frames...
