Specs will be similar to the Exynos 1080. This is not an SD888 and Exynos 2100 killer, but a flagship killer specs chip, allowing manufacturers to churn our blazing fast $4-500 phones.

I'm brutally excited for these processors. LG Velvet, HTC, and Im even Honor should start using them to keep their prices low with solid performance.

If this is the Dimensity 2000, then I am interested to see how it stacks up against the Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2100.

Exynos 1080, Kirin 9000 and A14 are slightly lower tier compared to Exynos 2100 and Snapdragon 888.

Do play games, using the for different purposes. Wouldn't pay extra for SNAPsanke. At least overall performance would be adjacent to price. And would never buy Heavybranded phone. Sam and So are half price brand cost.. china I do trust in you!

According to MediaTek executives, well over 200 million Dimensity SoCs have been sold, probably not all delivered. They expect that number to go way beyond that in 2021.

All talk no play. Dear Mediatek, focus on providing chips on user hands. I'm yet to see a Dimensity powered smartphone being available in India.

D1200 is comparable to SD865, while D2000 will outperform SD888.

We should see Dimensity 1200 and Dimensity 600, both will be premiered via Redmi (K40 for D1200, Redmi 10 for D600). MediaTek was the No.1 smartphone SoCs maker in 2020, outselling Qualcomm by a notable margin. MediaTek's lead over Qualcomm will significantly increase in 2021.

The most significant improvement in these new chips is ISP. With the arrival of Dimensity 2000 in March, we should see heated competition in the high-end segment as well.

PaidReviewer, 11 Jan 2021yes and 765g will run circles around it.You are so uninformed! 800U is on par with 765, while 820, 1000U and 1000+ are much much better.

Maybe MediaTek doesn't have a direct competitor to 888, but will be very close, with much lower price.

It's good that Mediatek stays with A78 instead of using X1. Their chipset has been proved to be very efficient with good performance.

Alright I've spammed this thread too much but it's because I'm very excited here is why:

This mediatek might outperform the snap 888 because the 888 has overheating and power efficiency problems

Mediatek has become tsmc third top buyer

Mediatek has become the top soc manufacturer globally

The dimensity 820( the strongest midrange soc in the world currently) is no longer exclusive to Xiaomi so more wide spread adoption so people will see how crazy the chip is

Mediatek is using 6nm so we will have less supply problems due to apple like last year

Most of all competition will make for the best quality SOCs this year

You love Qualcomm which is great if you want Qualcomm to get even better ironically you need mediatek NOT to give up because of something my grandmother use to tell me about CALLED:

                                COMPETITION

Unless you have shares in Qualcomm you should welcome competition

Having competition will benefit the consumer, snapdragon 865, 888 are soo expensive because there is no high end soc that can compete well with snapdragon. Hopefully exynos 2100 can become real high end soc competitor to snapdragon, huawei can start making kirin soc again and mediatek can produce proper high end soc

The name is MT6893. In the test, the chipset proved to be more powerful than company’s own Dimensity 1000+ processor and is actually at par with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865.

The chipset is said to feature one primary Cortex-A78 core at 3Ghz, in addition to three Cortex-A78 cores at 2.6GHz and four other energy-efficient Cortex-A55 cores at 2Ghz.
