SD888 for K40pro, and D1200 for K40. The insiders are more excited about K40 than K40pro.

mini led isnt suitable for small screen device like smartphone currently.
Maybe some tablet in this or next year will use miniled screen.Rumor about ipad will use miniled screen is somehow true.

IpsDisplay, 11 Jan 2021Nice news I don't mind the pro being OLED just want some more LCD options out thereOnly problem is reviewers being way too biased towards AMOLED, slaughtering every phone with LCD above $300. Xiaomi got a lot of crap from reviewers for the LCD in the Mi 10T, not because it was bad - because it wasn't. Solely because it was LCD and not AMOLED.

The LCD display was the major selling point for me with that device. Big screen phones with FHD+ AMOLED are a nightmare for me. At least the Mi 11 is now bumped to QHD+, so the sharpness is no longer an issue on that series. Only the other AMOLED longevity downsides to worry about.

It will be interesting to see what the Redmi K40 will bring. When will Xiaomi, or Redmi, come with the first mini LED backlit phone? Could it be this one already?
If not, then I sure hope the Mi 11T and 11T Pro will.

IpsDisplay, 11 Jan 2021Nice news I don't mind the pro being OLED just want some more LCD options out thereFirst I was on the hardcore anti-lcd wagon, then I saw your comments many times on this website.

I bought a Samsung A50 phones, at first it was great now it's yellowish and warm for no reason and colors are terrible and inaccurate

I thought about being anti-lcd and now I have changed, now I think Until Micro-Led arrives, a good lcd can give OLED a run for itsoney.
