That's a silly thing to say, everyone... moreAren't you the same guy accusing people of coming in Apple articles..?
Yet you are here bringing your iPad in the Windows tablet article.
Plz go back to your 9to5mac Tr^ll Chamber.
Wily20201, 12 Jan 2021"They cannot be a laptop replacement."
That's a silly thing to say, everyone... moreWhy are you so hell bent on sales?
Surface Pro is the superior product.
We are interested in the better device, not the better selling product which is usually the cheapest.
Surface pro goes upto a premium of 2500$ and above. IPad OS is laughable in front of Windows in its full glory.
You just don't have the money to buy a proper tablet like the surface Pro which is why you are stuck with an iPad with inferior software.
Work hard for a year and soon you'll be able to afford a 2500$ surface pro.
Android--Master, 12 Jan 2021Surface Pro 7 literally destroys any other tablet on the market.
At the end of the day, Win... more"They cannot be a laptop replacement."
That's a silly thing to say, everyone use their laptop differently, it's up to user if tablet can replace laptop and clearly for a lot of people iPad have done that, A LOT more than for surface ;)
And no surface definitely isn't best tablet neither best laptop and that's why the sales are so low and always been since the first surface launch. It's compromise of both, this is lot more laptop than tablet and always been.
I would love to buy I surface pro instead of an iPad , but they charge so much extra here in India.
The variant with i5 , 8GB ram and 256GB storage costs rupees 118k ($1600 approx) and that too without the keyboard and stylus.
And the models which are cheaper than this model are not so usable because of the specs.
Also , Microsoft don't have any kind of customer service centres in India. So if anything happens , we will have to ship the device internationally to a service centre which is not a great experience as the shipping fees will be paid by us. Same is the case for every surface product , no after sales support in India and a huge premium in terms of prices.
Currently I have a 2017 MacBook Air and it runs fine at the moment (except for the old battery). I'm thinking of buying an iPad Air 4 with Apple Pencil which will after student discount cost me 60k ($820) [same as the AirPods max , LOL].
I am not particularly an apple fan boy , but Microsoft products are not an option for me. And Microsoft also doesn't provide any student discount or anything in India.
I agree that an iPad doesn't come with a desktop class OS but it also costs half the amount of surface pro 7 and that too with Apple Pencil. So it's a no brainer.
I can get an iPad for 60k and then sell my MacBook and then add another 60k to that money and buy a good laptop. This scenario will be so much better than buying a surface pro for 118k.
Android--Master, 12 Jan 2021Surface Pro 7 literally destroys any other tablet on the market.
At the end of the day, Win... morei dont know how can u used word "destroy" when u can see people more using ipad / android tablet than surface itself
and i dont know how u can consider surface choice of windows os , when u compare with ipad and android that using mobile os
also i dont know how can u said surface as choice when u can see more people using laptop than surface itself ...
Android Authority, 12 Jan 2021Because one cannot be reliant on WiFi everywhere. oh, i mostly see people with laptop mostly in cafes and other places with wifi
AnonD-973296, 12 Jan 2021why would you want LTE in a laptop?Because one cannot be reliant on WiFi everywhere.
Android--Master, 12 Jan 2021Surface Pro 7 literally destroys any other tablet on the market.
At the end of the day, Win... moreActually ipad pro is better if you just want tablet optimized apps.
I love to read using tablets.
Windows doesn't really have a good ebook reader that can compare with iOS.
Bookviser has it's own problems, martview is dead.
On android I have moon plus reader pro which is way better than anything that iOS offers as well. But apart from that single app, there's nothing good about android in a tablet.
Windows in a tablet is good, but you wouldn't be able to fully utilize windows unless you're on a desktop or at least a good laptop.
If surface pro came with Ryzen processors, at least it would've been a bit more appealing though.
why would you want LTE in a laptop?
Geez...the only good model at over $2,500? I get the appeal but that's too much...
Surface Pro 7 literally destroys any other tablet on the market.
At the end of the day, Windows remains the OS of choice for any kind of productivity.
IPad or Android tablets simply don't make the cut. They cannot be a laptop replacement.
